Itinerario
Divertiti!

What an amazing tour. The driver Rupert made our trip to San Juan memorable and shared so much knowledge of the island.
Bottom line, book from a better company! But, if you enjoy being bitten by ants on the tour bus and getting dirty water dumped on your head from the bus air conditioner, this tour could be for you!! And, if you like dealing with a company that doesn't stand behind their product, this is especially the one to choose!! FACTS: -We booked this tour because we liked the 5 hour time frame as we weren't looking for an all day excursion. Well, SURPRISE, it actually took 7 1/2 hours!! So, be warned that you will not be back on time. - Bus did not leave on time - First stop was at a smoothie shop, La Frutera, for a bathroom break and purchases. This was not on the itinerary and took quite a long time since other tour buses were also there and it's a pretty small place. The smoothie was tasty. - Drove to the rainforest to walk to the river. Did not see a single insect, bird, or animal. -Swimming in the river was refreshing after the walk. Bring a towel! - Made our way back to the bus to drive to the tower. -On the bus, we realized we were being bitten by little ants on the seats. At least 6 of us were bitten, maybe more. - At the tower stop I spent the whole time picking little ants off the towel I was sitting on and removing them from my beach bag that I had left on the bus. To be clear, I did NOT have any food in the bag that could have attracted them. The guide did spray the bus with bug spray at this point but it was too late. - After the tower, we were supposed to stop for 20 minutes at the waterfall, the whole reason I booked this tour. We only did a 1 minute drive by and had to take a picture FROM THE BUS. Ridiculous. -The drive to Luquillo beach was very uncomfortable because you could still feel some ants on the bus. -Also, on the drive to the beach, the bus took a turn and a bucket of water dumped on my friend's head because she was sitting in the back close to the air conditioner. She was totally soaked. We have photo proof. -Luquillo beach was fine. At this point our moods were already shaky from the ants/water incident. We had a nice lunch there. The beach itself was very crowded- it was a Sunday. - We were thankfully picked up in a different bus. We arrived back at 4:30. It was supposed to end at 2pm. - Our tour guide, Angel, was very nice and none of this was his fault. - We reached out to the company after the tour to give them a chance to makes things right. They were condescending and did not offer any compensation.
We’re sorry to hear this guest left feeling disappointed, as we always strive to provide a smooth and enjoyable experience. For future travelers, here’s some clarity on what to expect with this tour: Tour Schedule: The rainforest and beach tour runs from 9:00 AM (pickup) to about 4:00 PM (drop-off), which is the schedule published in our itinerary. We give courtesy reminder calls at 8:00 AM and allow a short grace period so no one is left behind. Bathroom Stop: We do not stop at La Frutera or any other restroom unless a guest cannot wait to reach the forest bathrooms. These are shared tours, so we accommodate group needs when someone requests a stop. Guests who choose to grab smoothies during these brief breaks may experience slight delays. Wildlife & Route Adjustments: El Yunque’s trails are popular, with over two million visitors yearly, so wildlife sightings are not guaranteed. We sometimes switch the order of stops (tower vs. river first) to avoid crowds or special events. Ants on the Bus: Eating or bringing food onboard is prohibited, as food can attract ants. Our guides keep buses clean, and in rare cases where ants appear, they act immediately—as they did by spraying and cleaning during this tour. Air Conditioning Drip: There are no buckets of water in our buses. What occurred was condensation from the air-conditioning system on a humid day. While rare, guests can move seats if they feel a drip. La Coca Falls: This stop is always for photos only, as swimming isn’t allowed. On this day, parking construction required us to view the falls from the road for safety. Luquillo Beach Crowds: As a popular public beach, weekends can be busy. Travelers seeking quieter visits may prefer weekday tours. Guest Comfort: After the condensation and ant concerns, we arranged for a different bus for the return trip to ensure a more comfortable ride. While we regret this guest’s experience didn’t meet their expectations, our guide and team worked to deliver the promised itinerary and address concerns on the spot. We’ll continue improving to provide safe and memorable experiences for all our guests. — Puerto Rico Access Tours LLC
Very informative ,great tour guide, funny and witty. Had a over all blast. Well worth it. When you go to the beach you have tons of shops and a great view of the beach. Try the shark
There are so many El Yunque tours to choose from. I selected this one for a few main reasons: 1) Pick-up at my hotel, 2) Great price, 3) Variety of things to do and see, and 4) I didn't want to spend 8-10 hours. This tour delivered! We saw waterfalls and climbed one of the towers. The hike was about a half mile each way and not difficult. We cooled off in a swimming area of the river for about 30 minutes which was plenty. No natural water slide, but I knew that in advance and was fine with it. Then we got to experience Luquillo kiosks and beach. Excellent mofongo at Rellena'o! We drove in a modern, air conditioned van. The guides (Rafael and Edwin?) were pleasant and knowledgeable. It was the perfect day!
Have done this twice and will surely do it again!! Every part of the tour is amazing. Also there is lots of great food at the Luquillo Beach stop. I will be creating my vlog on this
Rafael was great!. Knowledgable, accommodating, and funny. The walk down to the river was not difficult and swimming was enjoyable. The waterfalls were pretty and the tower gave great views. The food at the kiosks was great. The beach was small and not as pretty as we hoped, but the water was refreshing!
Rafael was our guide and was amazing!!! He was kind, informative, and funny. Basically, everything you want in a guide! Definitely try to book a tour with him if you can!! Even with other guides in the same area, he showed us things that the other guides clearly didn't want to be bothered with. He went 100% above and beyond and I will always remember this tour! :)
The tour was great, the hike was good, not too much of a hike down to the river. The river was my favorite part of the tour. The water felt amazing.
Tour Rep was terrific. I appreciate his enthusiasm, made the tour fun. Unfortunately, beach part was acceptable. Just a bit dirty
This tour is perfect for people who want to experience the rainforest, see the major landmarks, and learn about the country, but are not looking for long, difficult hikes through dense forest. Our tour guide and driver were amazing! We learned so much about the area and Puerto Rico in general. The swim at the river was very refreshing and relaxing. The kioskos at the beach had delicious and inexpensive food. The beach itself was nice. It is one of the most popular beaches in all Puerto Rico so you will be around tons of other people and families having fun.
