Itinerario
Ci incontriamo e ci salutiamo nella piazza principale dove vi presenterò brevemente la nostra storia. Parleremo anche della piazza e dei suoi punti salienti.
Ammiriamo l'edificio storico del Teatro Nazionale Slovacco, l'Hotel Carlton, statua di uno dei nostri poeti più famosi. Parliamo dell'antica fortificazione cittadina, dei gruppi linguistici slavi e in base alla piazza ci immergiamo nella cinematografia. Sulla strada per la piazza incontriamo e salutiamo le nostre due statue più famose della città.
Breve visita della Cattedrale. Dipende se non c'è un servizio o un matrimonio. Questo è il luogo in cui venivano incoronati i monarchi ungheresi, il che simboleggia la sommità della torre con una corona e non con una croce come di solito. Se non hai sentito parlare di cosa facciamo il Lunedì di Pasquetta, questo è il momento migliore per parlarne mentre passiamo accanto a un salice piangente.
Parliamo dell'ex quartiere ebraico con la sua sede della sinagoga Neolog (demolita negli anni '60), come appariva in passato e come è adesso, l'origine del Krav Maga e altre informazioni relative alla cultura ebraica a Bratislava.
Questa zona è chiamata dalla gente del posto il nostro Triangel delle Bermuda. In questo caso non ci sono aerei o navi che scompaiono, quindi non preoccupatevi. Ci sono pochi pub, ai tempi in cui si usavano le corone slovacche, le bevande erano molto più economiche. Potrei condividere con voi alcune delle mie esperienze da quel posto...
Parleremo dei piatti della tradizione, vi indicherò alcuni posti dove andare a pranzo o a cena, dove bere un bicchiere di vino o semplicemente prendere un buon drink per la sera. Attraverseremo l'ultima porta rimasta della fortificazione della città, oltrepassando l'edificio più stretto della Slovacchia e anche considerata la strada più stretta di Bratislava.
Abbiamo un piccolo rinfresco sulla collina del castello, parlando della cortina di ferro, fatti interessanti su Bratislava e anche sul nostro castello. Proprio questo castello fu scelto per il vertice Bush-Putin nel 2005. Dall'altra parte del fiume si può ammirare Petržalka, il più grande quartiere residenziale dell'Europa centrale, costruito durante il precedente regime... Sulla via del ritorno al centro città, passeremo davanti al nostro Consiglio Nazionale, discuteremo della nostra situazione politica e da lì indicherò un memoriale della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, che vale sicuramente la pena visitare mentre si è a Bratislava.

Our guide PTric was so friendly, with a great knowledge of history. He was also making auprises with sparknglik wine and many others. He is really a guy you need for discover Bratislava. Had so much FUN💪🏼
I recently had the privilege of Patrik leading us on a tour of Bratislava. Along with being able to pick us up from the train station (and offering to drop us off) which was a huge help, he was very helpful and informative throughout the duration of the tour even bringing along additional visuals and photographs to reinforce what he told us. His English was great, his food recommendations were spot on, and he had a good sense of humor. The sites we visited showed great views of the city and I felt as we got a good summary of the city given the short duration we spent with him. Would highly recommend for those spending time in the city.
Patrik was an asset to our family visit sharing not just the history of Bratislava but also some of our families history through some extra personal research ! Patrik was an outstanding guide—well-prepared, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. We booked a full-day walking tour for our family group of about 30 people, and from the very beginning, he set the tone with a short but really helpful overview of the city’s history. Throughout the tour, his explanations were clear and engaging, and his English is excellent. He happily answered all of our questions and made sure everyone was included. One of the highlights came after a good stretch of walking—he led us to a shady spot with a beautiful view of the city, then surprised us by pulling out cold sparkling wine from his backpack and serving it to the whole group. He also organized a fantastic lunch at a local Slovak restaurant—delicious food, and plenty of it! Even with such a large group ranging in age from 8 to 80, the pace was comfortable for everyone. Our only small suggestion would be to plan in a few more bathroom breaks. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Patrik—he’s one of the best guides we’ve had.
My experience with Patrick as a tour guide of our group was fantastic! I had contacted Patrik online a few months before organizing a group reunion with 32 adults in Bratislava and surroundings. Patrick was very professional and attentive and made many good suggestions during our online communication as well as during our two-day tour. In addition to a walking tour of Bratislava he also organized a bus tour of specific points of interest for our group, and restaurant reservations for both days. He was very punctual and considerate of the diverse requirements of such a large group. I can only recommend Patrik to any group interested in private tour in Slovakia, specifically in Bratislava.
Patrik’s tour was the perfect introduction to Bratislava! It felt more like walking around the city with a knowledgeable friend than a typical tour. He shared great stories about the city’s history, culture, and traditions, and had a really engaging way of explaining everything — from politics and food to fun facts like where Hollywood movies were filmed. What I appreciated most was how flexible and personal the experience was. We chatted about anything we were curious about, and Patrik took time to show us local spots like restaurants and bars we would’ve never found on our own. It really helped us enjoy the city even after the tour ended. If you’re looking for an authentic and insightful experience in Bratislava, this is it. Highly recommended!

I spent a lovely few hours with Patrik who provided great insights on the history of Bratislava as we walked through the historical centre and to the castle. It was a wonderful tour.
Patrik was informative, insightful and entertaining. He took the time to tell us interesting stories about the history of his hometown as well as sharing his take on topical events touching Bratislava today. If you should be lucky enough to get a private tour of this city (2 to 3 people), your experience will be even richer. We would highly recommend. Two very satisfied and appreciative Canadians!!
