Lucy was a wonderful tour guide, so knowledge and personable. Last minute change and my husband could not go so I went on my own. I changed the itinerary and had a wonderful time at the Botanical Gardens and taking the cable car back to the city. Would highly recommend this tour company.
Our guide Gama , interested in every road we take and all the spots we visit by his stories about the places He even got the stroller for our son, which made our trip easy with 18months toddler Highly recommended booking with this tour operator and having Gama as your guide

Lucky is a fabulous tour guide and driver. 4 of us totally enjoyed the tour she recommended and we had a great time. She is so knowledgeable and speak great English. We were collect from the ship promptly at 10:30. Carlos the driver was an excellent tour guide, we visited some outstanding places in the mountains, the Rum factory being just one of the many. Carlos found us a superb restaurant for lunch, even recommending what to have. The tour continued after the excellent lunch, eventually getting back to the ship at about 16:30. The only disappointment being they supplied a mini-bus, very comfortable, but we were expecting a car as there were only two of us. Overall a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend Viator for future excursions.
We saw basically everything we wanted to see during the day. The guide was informative and told us a lot of interesting information on Madeira. We didn't get the Mercedes on the photo but a minibus. The car was not in a very good shape. The restaurant the guide took us in Santana was a tourist trap and not very good. I found the communication with the tour operator a bit frustrating prior to the tour. They didn't answer quickly and I had to ask same things many times. But all in all, it was a good value day.
