La tua esperta guida egittologa inizierà la tua esplorazione della Cisgiordania di Luxor venendo a prenderti dal tuo hotel o dalla crociera sul Nilo in un veicolo con aria condizionata. La tua prima destinazione sarà la rinomata Valle dei Re, un sito di grande importanza storica. All'interno della valle troverai un totale di 63 tombe, ognuna delle quali racconta una storia unica dell'antico passato dell'Egitto. Le tombe reali in questa zona sono adornate con intricate raffigurazioni della mitologia egiziana, che forniscono preziosi spunti sulle credenze di quell'epoca.
Successivamente, continuerai il tuo viaggio verso il magnifico Tempio della regina Hatshepsut, noto anche come Deir el-Bahari. Si ritiene che la regina Hatshepsut, il cui nome significa "la più importante delle nobili dame", abbia svolto un ruolo fondamentale nello stabilire le prime rotte commerciali in Egitto. La tomba di Tutankhamon (KV62) fu scoperta nel 1922 dall'archeologo britannico Howard Carter nella Valle dei Re vicino a Luxor, in Egitto. Si trattava di un'importante scoperta archeologica, poiché la tomba di Tutankhamon era una delle poche tombe reali dell'antico Egitto trovate in gran parte intatte. Tutankhamon era un faraone della XVIII dinastia che regnò dal 1332 al 1323 a.C. circa. Salì al trono da bambino e il suo regno fu relativamente breve, solo circa 9 anni. La tomba conteneva oltre 5.000 manufatti, tra cui il sarcofago e le bare di Tutankhamon, mobili funerari, carri, vestiti, gioielli e numerosi altri tesori. Molti di questi manufatti sono ora ospitati nel Museo Egizio del Cairo e costituiscono le principali attrazioni per i visitatori. La tomba era straordinariamente ben conservata rispetto ad altre tombe reali, che erano state saccheggiate nel corso dei secoli. Ciò ha permesso agli archeologi di ottenere una visione senza precedenti delle antiche pratiche di sepoltura egiziane e della cultura materiale del periodo del Nuovo Regno.

Nasser was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Egypt and its history. This was our first private tour and he put us at ease and looked after us well. He even accommodated a very short notice change of pick up location after we discovered our river cruise boat had docked somewhere other than expected. Ahmed is a good guide who knows his subject. He is patient and helpful and kindly took pictures of us at the different places of the visit. There was also a visit to a shop for a demonstration of stonemasons and we do not push you to buy.
