La tomba di Ramesse III, indicata come KV 11, è un sistema complesso nella Valle dei Re. La tomba del re Ramesse lX fu il terzo faraone della ventesima dinastia del Nuovo Regno dell'Antico Egitto. Il suo nome prima di assumere la corona era Amonhirkhopshef. Era il quinto figlio di Ramesse III e fu nominato principe ereditario nel ventiduesimo anno del regno di suo padre, quando tutti e quattro i suoi fratelli maggiori precedettero la sua promozione a principe ereditario. La tomba ha così tanti colori e dettagli anche il soffitto sopra i sarcofagi con la sua dea Nut che si estende nello spazio. Il sarcofago è uno dei più grandi della valle, anche se alcuni dipinti sono deteriorati, è uno dei più decorati.
Dopo aver visitato le tombe sarete trasportati al Tempio della Regina Hatshepsut (Deir el Bahari), l'unica donna a regnare sull'Egitto come Faraone. Questa regina era un antenato del re Tutankhamon e apparteneva alla stessa dinastia.
Nella mitologia egizia, Ptah è il demiurgo di Menfi, dio degli artigiani e degli architetti. We had an incredible day with Khalid giving us a wonderful guided tour through Luxor’s greatest historical sites - from the Karnak Temple, to the Valley of the Kings and Tutankhamen’s tomb and to the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Khalid was very knowledgeable and explained the history and importance of each site with great detail and enthusiasm. Lunch was also included and we enjoyed a delicious traditional Egyptian meal. The day was a 10/10 experience and would absolutely recommend!

Had an amazing time and seen so many interesting & beautiful places. Absolutely mind blowing! Abdul & the driver took very good care of all our needs, and helped us ensure our itinerary was optimised. Hassan was an excellent guide! He provided a great 'big picture' look at Egyptian history that we found incredibly interesting.
