Visita del tour di Beara attraverso Healy Pass, Derreen Gardens, visita la stazione della funivia per Dursey Island. Guarnire isola facoltativamente (dipende dalla disponibilità della barca). Il Ring of Beara è un giro in bicicletta intorno alla penisola di Beara attraverso i villaggi più colorati. Ardgroom, Eyeries e Allihies, villaggi come da una fiaba. La città di Castletownbere è un ottimo posto per il pranzo. Città di pescatori che offre frutti di mare freschissimi, quasi direttamente dalla barca. Healy Pass nel mezzo della penisola di Beara non è davvero al Ring ma non deve essere saltato. I turisti privati possono raggiungere questo spettacolare punto panoramico. Inoltre, potremmo aspettarci sempre più posti graziosi per lo più disponibili solo per autovetture e furgoni.
Il cottage di Molly Gallivan è il vecchio posto irlandese più tradizionale e autentico. Come il museo del folclore irlandese. Visitare il posto è come tornare indietro nel tempo, cento anni fa o più. Anche il tè viene servito da un vero camino.
Posto bellissimo che offre una vista davvero spettacolare sulla baia di Kenmare e sulla baia di Bantry sull'altro lato della penisola. Affascinante lago Glanmore in basso con alcune isole rocciose e terreni agricoli davvero idilliaci.
Giardino Derreen. Misteriosa terra di piccoli Derrini e molte piante esotiche, conosciute specialmente per la varietà e le grandi dimensioni di rododendri. Bella passeggiata nei piccoli laghetti accoglienti in una specie di foresta pluviale.
Uragh Stone Circle si trova in una posizione eccezionale tra due laghi sulla guarigione con una vista spettacolare alla cascata di Gleninchaquin. Questo imponente monumento con la pietra più alta di 10 piedi dal suolo e probabilmente 10 piedi sotto terra e una pietra centrale che era un altare per le vittime, forse anche gli umani.
L'estrazione del rame ad Allihies risale al 1812. Nel 1845 le miniere raggiunsero l'apice e impiegarono circa 1600 persone. Le miniere furono subite con l'area locale dopo la carestia di patate. Le miniere funzionavano fino al 1962.

What a wonderful 2 days with our private tour guide Richard! We booked through Peter Stanley Tours and could not be happier with our experience. Richard was so kind and knowledgeable and he did not want us to miss a thing! The first day we toured the Ring of Beara and the second day we toured The Ring of Kerry. The trip is unique and off the beaten path. The towns are working towns full of charm. The people are friendly and accommodating. The views of the peninsula are awe inspiring. Our driver, Peter was knowledgeable, fun and he let us make it “our journey”. He let us take our time and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended.

The Ring of Beara can only be accessed by the boldest of drivers...or in our case, Piotr! The weather was just as wild and untamed as the landscape. Piotr allowed for a customized tour, so we focused on stone circles, a visit to Castletownbere, a cable car to Dursey Island and a meal stop at Allihies. This was by far the highlight of our trip! Piotr was an excellent guide and provided great insight into the history, flora, and fauna of Ireland. I would highly recommend this private tour with Piotr!

Uragh Stone Circle is one of the most mystical places I've come across. The photo does not do it justice Situated between two lakes, surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of volcanic mountains facing the sea on the Northern shore of the fabulous Beara Peninsula, it must have inspired Neolithic people with awe and reverence. I'm surprised it was not replaced by an early Christian church.
