In appena un'ora potrete visitare i luoghi di maggiore interesse della città vecchia e del borgo Umbertino. Il nostro slogan è "il modo migliore per visitare la città dei due mari". Infatti spesso capita che si è solo di passaggio nel nostro capoluogo, ci si ferma solo per qualche ora, un pasto fugace e si rimane delusi per aver notato una bellissima città ma che per motivi di tempo non ci si è soffermati come avrebbe meritato in quanto il territorio è piuttosto esteso, quale migliore occasione allora per velocizzare il tutto trascorrendo una piacevole oretta lasciandosi guidare a bordo di un simpatico ape Calessino? Provare per credere.

Itinerario
Dal momento che per visitare il castello occorre un'ora circa, verrà fornita una descrizione con la possibilità di ammirarlo esternamente.
Percorrendo il lungomare verrà descritto il monumento senza particolari soste.
Giunti in prossimità della Rotonda del Lungomare ci fermeremo alcuni minuti per descrivere i palazzi del periodo fascista tra cui il Palazzo del Governo e della Posta Centrale.
Giunti in Piazza Ebalia descriveremo la fontana della Rosa dei venti ed il palazzo della Banca d'Italia.
Ritornando verso la città vecchia passeremo, descrivendone le peculiarità, davanti al Museo Archeologico Nazionale del MarTa.
Ritornando in città vecchia passeremo nuovamente sul ponte girevole descrivendolo assieme al canale navigabile e tutte le varie trasformazioni avvenute alla fine del 1800.
Giunti alla fine della discesa del Vasto ci fermiamo ad ammirare il Mar Piccolo, descrivendo tutto lo scenario che ci troviamo davanti, a partire da destra dall'Arsenale militare, il ponte Punta Penna Pizzone, secondo seno del Mar Piccolo e primo seno, le sorgenti di acqua dolce "Citri", la pesca e le coltivazioni di mitili.
Dopo aver percorso le vie della marina, via Garibaldi e Via Cariati giungiamo in piazza Fontana faremo una breve sosta per descrivere la fontana restaurata negli anni '80 dal Carrino e la torre settecentesca dell'orologio.
Salendo sul pendio San Domenico, giungiamo nella chiesa del 1300 che da il via alla processione dei sacri misteri che precedono la Pasqua, evento molto sentita dal popolo tarantino.
Dopo aver visitato la chiesa di San Domenico percorriamo via Duomo fino a fermarci nuovamente per visitare la cattedrale più antica di Puglia, San Cataldo di origini irlandesi che oltre ad essere il santo patrono della città fu anche vescovo della città di Taranto.
Siamo giunti alla fine del tour, non senza però aver visitato il tempio Dorico risalente al VI secolo a.c. l'unica testimonianza di epoca Magno-Greca. Siamo in piazza municipio proprio di fronte al punto da cui è partito il nostro tour Falanto.

We took the complete sightseeing tour of Taranto by tuk-tuk and we were thrilled with it. It is an original way to visit the city without getting tired, passing comfortably between the historic center, Mar Piccolo, and Mar Grande. Our guide, Vittoria, was the real added value of the experience: very knowledgeable about the history and curiosities of the area, she explains everything with clarity and contagious enthusiasm. Besides being competent, she is also very nice, which made the tour even more pleasant. Experience recommended to everyone, both to those visiting Taranto for the first time and to those who already know it but want to see it from a new point of view. We will definitely return and ask for Vittoria as our guide again!

We were undecided whether to get off the cruise ship or not. We didn't think Taranto was interesting. Thanks to this tour and the special guidance of Antonio, we managed to change our minds and appreciate and learn about truly unique places and traditions. Long live Taranto! Highly recommended

Luca enthused about his city, abgood guide and a tuk tuk is a great way to see and feel a city. We had limited time but after this tour we filled our day at the castle, National archaeological museum and the Jonian Dolphin Conservation. All are top and worth your time

A fun and educational way to learn about Taranto! Luca is an excellent guide who knows hs stuff, and we had a great and funny experience, during the 50min tour. Me and my girlfriend, we tried the Tuk-tuk for the first time and we would definately try it again! We had a great time, we learned a lot for the place and took a lot of pictures. We absolutely recommend it for everybody, and it's a great value-for-money tour!
Before continuing to Salento, we chose to dedicate a morning to discovering Taranto with a tuk-tuk tour. Highly recommended. The ape calessino is the ideal means to get around the city; Luca, very prepared, explained to us the history and curiosities of Taranto. We also took a boat tour with Giovanni, visiting the city from the sea. He also showed us the farms of the beloved Taranto mussels, and we spotted a sea turtle! Thank you for this wonderful day.
