La statua del “Buddha Dormiente” si trova sul retro del Tempio del Dharma Shanti. Questa statua è stata progettata da Dedi Purnomo, un artista di Banyuwangi. La statua, che ha richiesto quattro mesi per essere costruita, è ora una località turistica religiosa alternativa a Bintan.
Il deserto di Bintan è anche conosciuto come deserto di Busung. Questo deserto ha sabbia bianca che brillerà se esposto al riflesso del sole, molto simile al deserto collinare nei paesi del Medio Oriente.
Il prossimo luogo turistico interessante su Bintan Island è Blue Lake. Prima di diventare una popolare attrazione turistica, Blue Lake era in realtà un sito minerario di sabbia sull'isola di Bintan. Tuttavia, a causa dell'estrazione mineraria, questo luogo ha lentamente formato un lago con acqua molto chiara.
Uno dei luoghi di culto che è una destinazione turistica è il Tempio Ksitigrabha Bodhisattva, noto anche come Tempio delle statue dai mille volti.

Didi was a warm and knowledgeable tour guide who made every effort to make sure I was comfortable. Whilst he was apologetic about his English ability, he was easy to understand. He is accomodating in taking photos and spending longer at some spots and shorter at others according to preference. Car was clean, cool and he was a safe driver. I would recommend this tour to others. It hits the main attractions. Natalie/ Australia
The agency should have ordered, it rained a lot and it was a holiday (which I didn’t know), so shopping excluded and the beach too. So all outdoor activities bof. The guide dropped us off at a mall where everything was closed, no interest. He put on the air conditioner and we got very cold.:( The guide was kind but didn’t know much about what we were visiting so a shame. The agency should have offered to postpone. Too bad. What is worth a look is just the 500 statues. You don't have to. So disappointed.

I was met at the ferry terminal when I arrived and we drove to the furthest spot first and worked our way back. We visited 3 temples, the blue lake, stopped for lunch at a restaurant nearby followed by a coffee stop. I was given the option for extras too, so we went to the mangroves where I was able to pay for a last minute tour. Overall a very good experience - would definitely recommend. Well worth the money!
This was a great experience. I was traveling solo. My guide Dedi (hope I wrote it right) answered every question I could think of about Indonesia. I learned quite a bit. His English was fine. I could understand everything he was saying. The vast majority of people on Bintan can’t speak English at all, or have very limited skills, so it was nice to have a local to talk to. I’m happy I chose this activity and was able to see the real island outside of the resort areas. The temples and the lake are beautiful. I had a great seafood lunch at a quality establishment. Dedi took great photos, many of which I will treasure. The tour is worth every penny and is a great value. Make sure to bring the local currency like I did. All the transactions (souvenirs, lunch, optional experiences at the lake) are easy when you do. I highly recommend this tour!
Take local currency for the market and lake . No contactless or Singapore dollars taken. Also an umbrella!!
They had a private driver just for me to drive around Bintan Island. He was there waiting for me in the ferry station in Bintan and was very friendly, polite and professional. Bintan has several interesting places to visit like buddha temples, the sand dunes and blue lagoon, beautiful beaches.
Our guide was extremely professional and helped us through a lot of local retail transactions that otherwise may have been challenging.

We had an amazing day with our guide. It was an informative and interesting trip ending with a lovely walk along the beach. Highly recommend if you’re planning on spending time on Bintan island.
Eko was a warm, funny and gracious host, and he shared many highlights from his home and local culture. We ran into an unexpected delay traveling from Singapore to Bintan on the day of our tour, but Suhar (Tour Advisor) and Eko were able to adjust the tour schedule on short notice, which was really helpful and gave us peace of mind. Overall, we had a great time and a delicious seafood lunch at the recommendation of Eko. If you want to experience more of Bintan beyond the resort area, then I highly recommend this tour!
