Metafora - L'Albero dello Utah, a volte chiamato l'Albero della Vita, è una scultura alta 87 piedi creata dall'artista svedese Karl Momen negli anni '80 e dedicata nel 1986. La scultura, costruita principalmente in cemento, è costituita di un "tronco" squadrato che sostiene sei sfere rivestite di roccia naturale e minerali originari dello Utah. Ci sono anche diversi segmenti di sfera cava sul terreno attorno alla base. La scultura attualmente ha una recinzione che circonda la base per proteggere le persone dalla caduta delle piastrelle. Sulla targa sono incise le parole dell'Inno alla gioia di Friedrich Schiller; utilizzato anche come coro della Nona Sinfonia di Beethoven. È stato detto che Momen fu spinto a creare l'albero alto 27 metri dopo aver avuto una visione di un albero mentre guidava attraverso le desolate distese salate di Bonneville. Dopo la dedica di quest'opera d'arte, Momen donò la scultura allo Stato dello Utah e tornò in Svezia.
I viaggiatori verranno prelevati dal luogo specificato a Salt Lake City e condotti alle Bonneville Salt Flats vicino al confine con il Nevada. Lungo la strada ci fermeremo alla scultura dell'Albero della Vita, dove i viaggiatori potranno scegliere di scattare foto se lo desiderano. Dopo aver lasciato la scultura, ci dirigeremo verso le saline, dove i viaggiatori potranno trascorrere il loro tempo a scattare foto, passeggiare nelle saline, ecc. Il viaggio di andata e ritorno è di circa 100 miglia e richiederà circa 1,5 ore a tratta.

This is well worth the visit. Very surreal that has to be experience in person. Shawn our guide was a well informed personable young man. He made the trip comfortable and interesting. Highly recommend!

About an hour and half drive from Salt Lake City. Very cool experience. Salt flats are expansive and our tour guide did a really good job taking photos of us and explaining things on the way.

We had a fantastic adventure at the Salt Flats and at Park City yesterday! Shawn was very knowledgeable and shared so much information with us throughout the day. He also took so many wonderful pictures of our family during the entire trip. He was great with my 8 year old and kept him entertained on the very long drives between stops. 저 혼자 여행이었는데 Shawn이 정말 잘 가이드해줬습니다. 호텔 픽업드랍 완벽하고, 제가 번호 알려줘서 문자로 연락했는데 답장도 빨랐어요. 제 예약에 문제가 있었는데 잘 해결해줬고, salt flat 워킹존, 드라이빙존 모두 데려다줬습니다. 제가 있고싶은 시간 만큼, 사진 찍고싶은 만큼 전부 마음대로 하게 해줬고 드라이빙존에서는 테슬라로 190키로까지 찍어줬어요ㅋㅋ 저도 밴드를 하고, Shawn은 밴드로 음악까지 냈더라구요. 왕복 3시간 정도 거리인데 밴드 음악 많이 알려주고 본인 밴드 노래도 들려줬습니다ㅎㅎ 영어 그렇게 잘하는 편 아니지만 대화 무리없이 했고 알아듣기 쉽게 말해줘요! 이전에 거의 영어 못하는 사람이 왔을 땐 핸드폰 통역 썼다고 하니 크게 걱정 안하셔도 될 것 같습니다ㅎㅎ 한국어 후기가 없어서 좀 걱정했었는데 다른 분은 그러지 않으시길 바라며 후기 남겨요:) 식당 추천, 가까이 들를곳 추천 전부 받았는데 만족했습니다!
