Nota: la Royal Opera House Muscat è chiusa tutti i venerdì ed è aperta ai visitatori dal sabato al giovedì, in base al suo orario di apertura. La Royal Opera House Muscat sarà una sosta fotografica solo dall'esterno. Vi guideremo anche attraverso i ministeri circostanti e la zona della Royal Opera House, uno dei quartieri più eleganti e culturalmente significativi di Mascate. La Royal Opera House è la principale istituzione dell'Oman per le arti, la musica e la cultura, fungendo da prestigioso centro per lo scambio culturale e l'eccellenza artistica internazionale. La sua magnifica architettura e i suoi splendidi dintorni lo rendono un meraviglioso punto culminante del tuo tour a Mascate.
Il Palazzo Al Alam "Palazzo della Bandiera" è un palazzo situato nella città vecchia di Mascate, in Oman. Fu usato come palazzo cerimoniale dal sultano Qaboos bin Said Al Said. Una delle sei residenze sultaniche del monarca, ha una storia di oltre 200 anni, ed è stata costruita sotto la sorveglianza dell'Imam Sultan bin Ahmed, il settimo nonno diretto del Sultano Qaboos.
Il forte di Al Jalali, o Ash Sharqiya Fort, è un forte nel porto di Old Muscat, in Oman. Il forte fu costruito dai Portoghesi sotto Filippo I del Portogallo negli anni 1580 per proteggere il porto dopo che Mascate era stata saccheggiata due volte dalle forze ottomane. Cadde nelle forze dell'Oman nel 1650. Durante le guerre civili tra il 1718 e il 1747, il forte fu catturato due volte dai persiani che erano stati invitati ad assistere uno degli Imam rivali. Il forte fu ampiamente ricostruito in seguito.

Muttrah Fort è un forte storico in wilayat Muttrah a Muscat. Il forte si trova in una posizione dominante sulle colline che dominano il porto naturale di Muttrah, il che lo avrebbe reso una posizione abbastanza inespugnabile per difendere Muttrah dagli attacchi e allo stesso tempo consentire l'osservazione del territorio circostante dalle sue torri di avvistamento.
Successivamente, visiteremo Muttrah Souq, uno dei mercati più antichi e storici dell'Oman, con una storia che risale a circa 200 anni fa. Nota: la Grande Moschea è chiusa ai visitatori ogni venerdì. La Grande Moschea Sultan Qaboos sarà una sosta fotografica solo dall'esterno. È una delle moschee più grandi e magnifiche del mondo, rinomata per la sua splendida architettura islamica e per i bellissimi dettagli. I visitatori non musulmani sono generalmente invitati ad entrare dalle 8:00 alle 11:00 (sabato-giovedì). I visitatori musulmani possono visitare la moschea anche al di fuori di questi orari, in base alle linee guida per i visitatori della moschea.

Excellent whistle stop tour alloeing us to see many of the major tourist attractions in an afternoon. Our guide Jihad gave a great running commentary throughout with super knowledge of the cities history and answered all our searching questions. Highly recommend this actovity.

Amazing half-day afternoon tour of Muscat with our tour guide, Waleed. We visited the Royal Opera House Muscat, the Mutra Souq, the Sultan’s palace, the Grand Mosque as well as a wonderful scenic view of Muscat at night. Waleed was friendly and informative and was happy to make the afternoon and night a very comfortable and memorable experience. We definitely recommend this tour, especially if you are short on time. The photos don’t do Muscat justice but it’s definitely worth a place on your bucket list.

We were accompanied by Khalid Al Siyabi, who is the most fantastic tour guide possible ! He complied with our specific requests and even deviated slightly from the scheduled route to accommodate us with things we wanted to see. He is super interesting, knows the history of the country and city, and kept us fascinated with facts about every location and historical events. He is highly recommended !
