La tomba di Ramesse III, indicata come KV 11, è un sistema complesso nella Valle dei Re. Al mattino verrai prelevato dal tuo hotel nel centro di Luxor o dal porto da un veicolo con aria condizionata per un viaggio guidato completo di circa 4 ore. Per prima cosa verrai trasportato alla Necropoli di Tebe, la Valle dei Re sulla riva occidentale di Luxor. Questa antica necropoli è una tappa obbligata per i viaggiatori di Luxor. Nella mitologia egizia, Ptah è il demiurgo di Menfi, dio degli artigiani e degli architetti. Tempio di Merenptah, West Bank of Luxor
La tomba di Ramses IV (KV 2) nella Valle dei Re è piuttosto diversa dalla maggior parte delle altre tombe costruite qui. Questa tomba è di gran lunga la più spettacolare delle altre tombe che vedrai. I geroglifici sul muro raffigurano scene della Litania di Ra, del Libro dei morti, del Libro delle caverne, del Libro dei cieli, del Libro di Amduat e del Libro della notte. I colori blu e bianco sulle pareti all'interno della camera funeraria sono molto vibranti e puoi vedere il sarcofago del re fatto di granito color rosa. C'è anche una bellissima scena della dea Nut sul soffitto, in cui è raffigurata mentre ingoia il sole, e viaggia attraverso il suo stomaco, perché Nut lo dia alla luce. La tomba ha così tanto colore e dettaglio persino il soffitto sopra i sarcofagi con la dea Nut che si estende attraverso lo spazio. Il sarcofago è uno dei più grandi della valle, anche se alcuni dei dipinti si sono deteriorati, questo è uno dei più decorati.
Ramesseum (Tempio mortuario di Ramesse II)
Tomba di re Ramesse lx fu il terzo faraone della XX dinastia del nuovo regno dell'antico Egitto. Il suo nome prima di assumere la corona era Amonhirkhopshef. Era il quinto figlio di Ramesse III e fu nominato alla posizione di principe ereditario dal ventiduesimo anno del regno di suo padre quando tutti e quattro i suoi fratelli maggiori presero il posto della sua promozione come principe ereditario. La tomba ha così tanto colore e dettaglio anche il soffitto sopra i sarcofagi con la sua dea Nut che si estende attraverso lo spazio. Il sarcofago è uno dei più grandi della valle, anche se alcuni dei dipinti si sono deteriorati, questo è uno dei più decorati.

Easily booked, great informative and helpful guide (Hassan) clean and modern minibus with great aircon. As this was our second visit to the Valley of the Kings we had an idea of what we wanted to see, this was easily facilitated by Hassan. We had an interesting insight into the history of the Valley and some great information on the stories we would see in the tombs. If you’re on one of the TUI cruises and don’t want to do the whole day trip offered with them then this is a good alternative, safe and definitely value for money.

We had a private tour booked to visit the tombs / Valleyof the Kings. Our guide Amil, was very knowledgeable and funny, he gave the story of the tombs etc, however he stayed in the cafe area whilst we walked around the tombs amd valley on our own. We noticed other guides following to the door of the tomb, telling the story in detail of each. It could have been nice to get this detail for each, however walking around on our own enabled us to see more than the three tombs included with the ticket. We also saw King Tut’s tomb which costs extra., but we felt worth it. We also went to visit Hatshepsut’s temple, again our guide waited in the cafe whilst we walked around the temple on our own. Definitely recommend the experience, but look carefully gor a guide that stays with you if that is ehat you want.

I feel so lucky that Hasan was our tour guide on our private tour to the valley of the kings. He made the Egyptian history come alive and he was such a fantastic story teller. The kids loved him, and he made our visit smooth and as enjoyable as it can possible be when you are queening with thousands of other tourists in blazing heat to see the tombs (with two sometimes grumpy kids). Having the luxury of a private guide meant that we could leave when the kids had enough and we could do things in our own tempo. Hassan was very responsive to us and an all in all kind man. I highly recommend this tour.

Very well organised, khalid was an excellent, passionate guide with plenty of information but not excessive. We visited all the sights we wanted too and were able to opt out of the alabaster tour which was not of interest. Easy morning and we beat the crowds. Everything ran to time.
