Passeggia nel centro storico di Villa de Bilbao conoscendo la sua storia secolare e i luoghi più emblematici. Percorreremo le Sette Vie godendoci palazzi, antiche chiese, il mercato e l'atmosfera incomparabile delle sue strade animate.
Visita all'emblematica "Basilica de Begoña" quando si trova l'"amatxu" del popolo Biscaglia. Pieno di storia e luogo di pellegrinaggi e momenti di festa.
L'Alhondiga è un vecchio magazzino del vino trasformato in un moderno e spettacolare centro multiculturale. La prima impressione entrando al suo interno è di incredulità e stupore per la meraviglia architettonica che è custodita al suo interno. Posto magnifico!
Attraverseremo questa bellissima piazza, il centro della Villa de Bilbao, attraversando parte della Gran Vía, la vera spina dorsale della Villa.
Visitando la Ria del Nervión godremo delle migliori viste esterne al di fuori di questo famoso museo. Impressionante architettura offerta da questo meraviglioso edificio di titanio, pietra e vetro. Costruito da Frank Ghery è stato l'autentico architetto della ristrutturazione di Bilbao.
Dopo aver passeggiato lungo l'estuario e attraversato il ponte di Calatrava, ci dirigiamo verso la Funicolare di Artxanda che ci porta in pochi minuti al belvedere di Artxanda. Da questo luogo possiamo vedere Bilbao in tutto il suo splendore.

Our guide José, a native of Bilbao, was able to convey the essence of his town through his knowledge, experiences, and his journey as a guide. Despite the rain, we were able to explore the entire city, its streets and iconic monuments, its history, and the warmth of its people. 100% recommended!

It was boiling hot during our tour in Bilbao, but we forged ahead as Jose showed us all of Bilbao and gave us a very thorough and thoughtful introduction to the city. He recommended a wonderful restaurant which we enjoyed very much. Would very much recommend. Thanks Jose for sharing with us the city we have come to love!

What an amazing day we had exploring the fantastic city of Bilbao with our guide Jose. We covered an impressive 14km in this relaxed yet comprehensive walk that included the funicular and secret lift experience to views of and from the upper eschelons of Bilbao. We stopped for a delicious lunch in Casco Viajo at a restaurante organised by Jose. It was a treat to have such a passionate and informed local orientate us to this intriguing, bilingual city, the history, culture and amazing sights. When planning this trip, never did I imagine we would be walking down the streets of the Gran Via singing songs of the Pogues with our guide (Jose is an avid fan as are we). We also appreciated the insights provided by Jose on our upcoming trip to Picos de Europa. Eskerrik asko Jose!!!

When we arrived in Bilbao we were warmly greeted by Jose. He took us everywhere and not just to the tourist sections but to other beautiful neighborhoods. Jose was absolutely wonderful...extremely patient, thoroughly explained all the highlights of this charming city. Jose made our visit to Bilbao incredible. We were very fortunate to have such an awesome guide.

Jose was an outstanding guide. He showed us all the great sites plus he was helpful in navigating a very large soccer crowd on this day. You could not ask for a nicer and more accommodating guide. My wife has mobility challenges and our guide was very mindful of them.

We really enjoyed our private guided walking tour with Jose. He really knows the city of Bilbao and it's history. He took us to an authentic Basque restaurant where we tried food from the region. I was able to take lots of pictures without feeling rushed. We were very fortunate that we had a sunny warm day in December, could not have planned the day any better.

Jose Luis was an amazing guide. So knowledgeable, warm, interesting and helpful. The itinerary for our day long walking tour in Bilbao was perfect. We toured the city and learnt so much from a local's perspective. Jose Luis's English was fantastic. His lunchtime restaurant choice was spot on. Our day was perfect thanks to Jose Luis.
