Questa meraviglia della natura varrebbe la pena di essere visitata solo per il paesaggio pittoresco anche se i monasteri non fossero presenti. Il fatto è che lo sono. Gli antichi monasteri greci si fondono perfettamente con l'ambiente circostante creando una sensazione unica nella vita. È il mio tour più popolare (più di 100 volte all'anno) e c'è una buona ragione per questo. Durante il viaggio spiegherò molto sulla geologia, la storia, la religione ortodossa e l'impatto che Meteora ha avuto sulla Grecia nel corso dei secoli. Ti veniamo a prendere! Abbiamo un viaggio di quasi 100 minuti fino ad arrivare a Meteora una breve sosta facoltativa presso un laboratorio di icone locale (10-20 minuti) Agios Stefanos è quello che ha l'accesso più facile Great Meteoron è il più grande di tutti (sono coinvolti 400 gradini) I monasteri Roussanou Nunnery e Agios Nikolaos Anapafsas sono piccoli monasteri, entrambi scelte eccezionali. Il monastero di Varlaam (chiuso il giovedì e il venerdì) è quello con la vista migliore Naturalmente, tutti i monasteri aperti sono una buona scelta. The monasteries at Meteora are breathtaking! It is a must see for anyone who goes to Volos or has the time while in Greece. Our guide was fantastic.

Our tour from our ship to the monasteries of meteora was excellent. Costis our driver and our guide was at the ship before we disembarked. He took us to three monasteries and would have added more if we wanted to but we had seen enough. They are wonderful and amazing; highly recommend. He made sure we were able to efficiently see all we wanted. He added a few ‘secret’ sites. It is well worth the extra cost of a private tour. Highly recommend this tour and guide.
Demetrius picked us up at the port….he was on time but we were confused…he was patient and we all made connections. Two of us (old and not eager to climb) asked to be dropped off at the village square to drink coffee and admire the view.). Two of us climbed and enjoyed Meteora. My son said “ the photos are spectacular, but they do NOT do the site justice! “. It was amazing and we were all glad to have seen and done what we could. Private tour gives access to many more photo ops and unique locations that the big bus tours do not get to. Our guide Costas was well informed of the area and kept us entertained for the journey to and from Meteora from our cruise ship. He was on time, polite and happy to answer all of our endless questions. Ask him to take you to the bakery outside of Volos. The treats are out of this world.

Great experience for the family and it was fully customizable for our reduced timeline. The monasteries were amazing to see, and we felt like we were able to do so much in such a short period. The recommended location for lunch was fantastic!
