Per gli amanti dell'archeologia e della storia antica della Tunisia Con noi puoi scoprire due siti archeologici eccezionali, Dougga e Bulla Regia. La prima tappa della nostra escursione è la visita di Testour, questo villaggio fu fondato dal popolo moresco all'inizio del 17° secolo. Faremo un giro panoramico della città, dalla famosa moschea al bellissimo minareto ornato da un orologio le cui lancette girano in senso antiorario. Quindi continueremo verso Dougga, l'antica città romana di Thugga. Apprezzeremo la visita delle bellissime rovine meravigliosamente conservate se siete appassionati di storia e di arte: il teatro, il Campidoglio, il foro, le terme, le case, il luogo della rosa dei venti, l'arco di trionfo, la Libico- Mausoleo punico Poi visiterai Bulla Regia. Questo sito archeologico è famoso per i suoi edifici religiosi: il Campidoglio, il tempio di Apollo, le due basiliche cristiane e la chiesa di Alessandro.

Il villaggio andaluso di Testour è famoso per la sua Grande Moschea, che incarna l'architettura andalusa, in particolare il suo minareto, caratterizzato da iscrizioni ed elementi architettonici in stile andaluso. Il minareto è alto 23 metri e ha una forma ottagonale. La facciata del minareto è aperta da piccole finestre doppie decorate da iscrizioni in vetro e da un orologio meccanico nella parte superiore. Il suo aspetto ricorda i campanili aragonesi della Spagna meridionale.
L'Unesco ha classificato questo sito nella Lista del Patrimonio dell'Umanità nel 1997, considerando che è la “piccola città romana meglio conservata del Nord Africa”. Questo sito archeologico conserva, entro la sua delimitazione, le vestigia di diversi periodi della città antica con tutte le sue componenti: il centro monumentale (capitolo, foro, mercato, luogo della rosa dei venti...), gli edifici degli spettacoli (teatro, circus) e le terme pubbliche riflettono chiaramente il modo in cui si è evoluta una fondazione indigena in epoca romana.
Il sito archeologico di Bulla Regia si trova a pochi chilometri a nord della città di Jendouba, nel nord-ovest del paese, è una delle principali tappe del turismo culturale di questa regione. I resti che presenta testimoniano oltre 17 secoli di storia di un agglomerato fondato dai Numidi al più tardi alla fine del VI secolo aC e divenuto in breve tempo residenza reale. Autonomo all'inizio del periodo romano, fu eretto a comune sotto i Flavi ea colonia romana sotto l'imperatore Adriano (117-138). Alla fine del V secolo i suoi abitanti furono giudicati cattivi cristiani da Agostino.

Excellent day trip, the guide was very knowledgeable and was engaging, explaining many anecdotes about the history of the places visited. Not to be missed if you love Roman history.
Phenomenal tour! I have to say this has to be the best tour I did during my two-week trip to Tunisia. My guide was truly incredible; very knowledgeable, kind, and informative. Not only that, the sites were incredible–so much history and I loved that these sites weren't crowded with tourists, meaning you really got the chance to take it all in. It truly is an action packed day and if history excites you as much as it excites me, this is a tour you simply must book.
This was a really interesting tour. Dougga is very impressive and to me seemed as fascinating as Carthage. I thought it was definitely worth the visit. Bulla Regia was smaller, but had some interesting mosaics of fish and animals. I thought the tour was well organized, informative, and well paced.
So glad my family and I booked this tour. Mahjoub and his driver were the perfect guides. Well-paced for a hot day, we nevertheless saw so many ancient Roman sites. Mahjoub told fascinating stories about the ruins and was always more than happy to answer our many questions. He was clearly passionate about his work. The driver was excellent.
Absolute must do in while in Tunisia, Dougga and Bulla Regia are phenomenal archaeological sites and my lovely guide made for a great experience, friendly and knowledgeable and a great photographer too. To get to these sites it’s a scenic ride through the countryside with great views of olive orchards. We stopped in Testour for a nice lunch before back to Tunis.

Very enjoyable experience visiting archeological sites in this area of Tunis Mohammad was my guide. He speaks excellent English and extremely knowledgeable about the areas we visited. The transportation vehicle was a nice van Clean and cool It is a long day but very worthwhile experience. The countryside is lovely I thank Mohammad for giving me a well arranged visit and very comfortable trip
