We booked the private Luxor tour via Check24 with Legacy Tour and can recommend it without reservation. Even before the tour, the organization was excellent. After we had originally booked for two people, my parents decided spontaneously to come along as well. I messaged Legacy Tour in the middle of the night via WhatsApp, and increasing the booking to four people was no problem at all. This was organized that same night, and payment could be made very easily via PayPal – truly excellent service. The pickup took place punctually at 4:30 AM directly at our hotel. From the beginning, everything went smoothly and was perfectly organized. The drive to Luxor took about four hours, the return trip around three and a half hours, so we were back at the hotel around 6:30 PM. Our guide Mark was simply outstanding. You notice immediately that he has a great deal of experience and does his work with passion. He explained all the sights in detail and in an engaging way and knew exactly when certain places are particularly crowded. Thanks to his experience, we were able to largely avoid mass tourism. This was especially impressive in the Valley of the Kings – we were almost alone in some tombs and were able to enjoy everything in peace. That is exactly why a private tour is worth it. Everything was also perfectly prepared organizationally. Mark had already bought all the tickets in advance, so we didn't have to wait in long lines anywhere and could visit the temples and sights directly. All program items that were included in the tour description were visited as announced and viewed in detail. Nothing was left out or shortened. We visited: * Valley of the Kings * Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut * Colossi of Memnon * Karnak Temple * Felucca ride on the Nile * Lunch at the ATON restaurant In addition to the well-known highlights, Mark told us a lot about life in Luxor and Egyptian culture. He also recommended that we visit a spice shop and asked if we would be interested in doing so. Since we were curious, we visited the shop and found it really very interesting. There, you could sample various spices, teas, and oils at your leisure, and everything was explained in detail – completely without cost or obligation to buy. The staff on-site was also very friendly and took plenty of time for the visitors. We found it particularly positive that this stop was completely voluntary. Anyone who is not interested in that is not pressured into anything. Mark really tailors the tour to the wishes of his guests and addresses individual interests. Lunch at ATON was also a highlight. There was authentic Egyptian food in a very nice restaurant and everything was extremely delicious. We particularly liked that the entire tour was actually private – exactly as described. We were exclusively with our own group: during the transfer, in the temples, at lunch, and also during the felucca ride on the Nile. This allowed us to enjoy everything at our own pace and we did not have to adjust to a large tour group. The approximately 50 € extra charge per person compared to the classic guided tours is worth every cent. You are not tied to large groups, do not have to let yourself be rushed, and experience the sights much more relaxed and intensely. For us, the surcharge was absolutely worth it, as we were able to enjoy the entire tour in our own group. Mark refers to his guests as his "family" – and that is exactly how he treats them. He took regular short breaks so we could recover from the heat, got us drinks, and even ice cream to cool off. He also gave us helpful tips on how to behave toward the vendors. His advice was to simply ignore them in a friendly way if you are not interested – that gets you through without any problems. Overall, the tour was perfectly organized from start to finish and was definitely one of the highlights of our Egypt vacation. A big thank you to Legacy Tour and especially to Mark for this unforgettable day. We would book this tour again anytime and can recommend it to everyone without reservation. We were picked up on time by our driver David. He always provided us with water on the way to Luxor. In Luxor, the guide Osama Mohawes conducted the tour with us. Osama informed us very well and entertainingly. He individually addressed our wishes so that we could experience a special day in Luxor. It was a lot of fun, and we can highly recommend Legacy, Osama Mohawes, and David. Thanks to the great team, we felt very comfortable.

We were picked up very punctually by our very nice driver David. He made several stops with us on the way to Luxor and ensured that we always had something to drink. Upon arriving in Luxor, the guide Osama Mohawes welcomed us. He explained everything very well and addressed all our wishes. We had an excellent day today with our tour guide Professor Ahmed Elsisi .We went to the valley of the kings ,Temple of Hatshepsut and colossi of Memnon .He was very informative and went into alot of detail on our tours .He was friendly and answered any questions we asked.I would definitely recommend this tour especially with Professor Ahmed Elsisi.

Absolutely recommend this trip. Professor Ahmed Elsisi our guide was so involving and knowledgeable on all the areas we visited , and welcomed the interaction from us too. He is well love by all the locals at the sites , who all say he's the best guide / historian. We had a private pick up , my wife and i , and had the professor to our selves . Shout out to Mohamed our driver for the day too !

It was an overall very nice day. The pickup went smoothly. In Luxor, Mark, the archaeologist, joined us and accompanied us throughout the entire day. He provided us with many explanations and also some tips on how to best deal with the local merchants. We really enjoyed it.

Best birthday ever! Can’t fault the trip, Prof. Ahmed Elsisi was incredibly knowledgeable and well respected by other guides. He explained everything to us, giving us time to explore the tombs, including the extra one for Tutankhamen. They are so well preserved and the history is incredible. We also visited two temples, one for Ramses III and Hatshepsut who was the only female Pharaoh. Here you could learn more about their lives. As it was my birthday Ahmed arranged for me to have a personalised obelisk as well as a beautiful chocolate, cream and fruit birthday cake on the Nile boat trip. Shout out to the driver who was polite, helpful and ensured our journey was comfortable. What a fabulous way to spend my birthday! Thank you Ahmed for making it so special!

We booked a private day tour from Hurghada to Luxor for four people through Tripadvisor with Legacy Tour and can recommend it without reservation. We were picked up at our hotel promptly at 4:30 AM. After about a four-hour drive through the impressive desert landscape with several breaks, we reached Luxor. There, our German-speaking guide Osama was already waiting for us at the Karnak Temple. Right from the start, he gave us valuable tips on how to deal with the sometimes very pushy vendors. Afterward, he guided us through the impressive temple complex and explained the history of Ancient Egypt in excellent English. Since we are not Egyptologists, he conveyed the historical contexts in a very understandable and interesting manner. After the temple visit, we spontaneously decided to extend the Nile cruise by an hour for a small additional fee and visit Banana Island. The island, with its banana plantation and small zoo, is also frequented by many locals and provided a nice insight into local life. On the way back, we were able to enjoy the fresh fruits that Osama had organized for us. On the other bank, our drivers were already waiting to take us to the next sightseeing location. Instead of the originally announced Hatshepsut Temple, we visited the Temple of Medinet Habu. This impressive complex was significantly less crowded, thus offering a much more pleasant and authentic experience. After further exciting explanations from Osama, we continued to the Valley of the Kings, where we were able to visit several impressive tombs. Next, we visited an alabaster workshop, where the production of the artistic vessels was presented to us in an entertaining way. For lunch, Osama took us to a restaurant that is predominantly visited by locals. The food was excellent and a welcome change from the typical tourist restaurants. After this very extensive and varied program, we began our return journey to Hurghada. Special praise goes to our guide Osama. He perfectly tailored the tour to our wishes, explained many interesting details, and showed us places that are off the usual tourist paths. Thanks to his competence, friendly demeanor, and extensive knowledge of Ancient Egypt, this trip became an unforgettable experience. Many thanks to Osama and the entire team from Legacy Tour. We were looked after throughout the day by Osama Mohawes, who guided us excellently. All our questions were answered perfectly. We enjoyed the experience very much and can highly recommend this excursion to everyone. Unfortunately, the vehicle was anything but luxurious. Although there were only four of us in the car, it was nothing special; I would have expected something better in this regard.
