Il Charyn Canyon si estende per 154 km lungo il fiume Charyn (uno dei fiumi più profondi delle montagne del Tien Shan settentrionale). Vento, acqua e sabbia hanno scolpito l’arenaria rossa di Charyn per formarne forme e sfumature. Alcune delle scogliere assomigliano a figure particolari, motivo per cui alcune parti del canyon sono anche chiamate la "Valle dei Castelli", la Gola della Strega e la Gola dei Fantasmi. Itinerario 09: 00 – Partenza da Almaty (3,5 ore di macchina, ~200 km). 12:30 – Arrivo al Charyn Canyon, camminando per la Valle dei Castelli fino al fiume. 13 : 30 – Pranzo al sacco lungo il fiume. 14 : 30 – Tempo libero : esplorazione, foto, brevi escursioni facoltative. 16 : 00 – Rientro a piedi al parcheggio. 16 : 30 – Partenza per Almaty. 20 : 00–20 : 30 – Arrivo ad Almaty.

We had 4 day private tour which included a trip to charyon canyon as well as kolsai lake.. from the day we landed from uae to Almaty..ilyas our guide has been fabulous...he was punctual , courteous ,knowledgeable and was great ambassador of his country..Skyway must be proud of having an employee like him...and he must be rewarded for the same... Lastly. I will always recommend people to visit Almaty as it was an out of the world.. experience ..thanks mainly to Ilyas..
Visiting Charyn Canyon with friends was an unforgettable experience! The views are absolutely breathtaking like a mini Grand Canyon in Kazakhstan. With our best tour guide, Adil, we had a great time exploring, hiking, and taking photos. He made the trip even more enjoyable with his knowledge and friendliness. Highly recommend visiting Charyn Canyon, and if you can, go with Adil he’ll make the adventure even better!
First n foremost our Driver cum guide was the best person.His name was Miras.Very courteous n .helpful.His English was fluent n he showed us all the places.Scenery n weather was good.Will recommend a visit to Almaty to all.
I had an amazing time during the trip. Our Kazakhstan was amazing, the tour was well arranged and the tour guide Nazerke was so great and helpful, she also gave us a lot of information about the places we visited and about the country. We went to Shumbulak ski resort ,Charyn Canyon, Kolsay lake and the alma arslan gorge the tour was amazing! Our driver Sergie was also nice
