Per ottenere la tua dose di pinguini, andiamo direttamente a vedere i pinguini a Gypsy Cove e Yorke Bay. In questi due luoghi vedrai 3 delle 5 specie di pinguini che le Falkland hanno da offrire! Forniamo pranzi e snack fatti in casa avvolti in imballaggi compostabili non sbiancati. Il nostro posto preferito per gustare cibo e bevande è al faro con splendide viste. Mangeremo all'interno/all'esterno del veicolo (a seconda del tempo). Viaggia per 20 minuti fuori Stanley per vedere il tipico paesaggio delle Falkland. Guarda i pinguini di Magellano e paesaggi mozzafiato (spiagge di sabbia bianca, cieli grandi e mari turchesi)
Gentoo e pinguini reali su splendide spiagge di sabbia bianca. Prova a camminare lungo la spiaggia o attraverso le alte dune di sabbia. Possibilità di osservare anche i delfini
Costruito nel 1855, il faro alto 18 m/59 piedi si trova nel punto più orientale delle Isole Falkland. Per molti anni il faro è stato il faro con equipaggio più a sud del mondo Se sei fortunato puoi avvistare delfini, falchi pellegrini e balene. Il nostro posto preferito per gustare un pranzo lontano dagli altri.
Costruito a Sunderland nel 1879, il brigantino a tre alberi Lady Elizabeth (Liz) è ora un impressionante naufragio nel porto di Stanley. Nel 1913 fu danneggiata mentre doppiava Capo Horn. Sulla strada per il porto di Stanley ha colpito l'Uranie Rock che ha causato ulteriori danni, incluso un buco nello scafo. Dopo l'ispezione è stata condannata e dichiarata inadatta alla navigazione. È stata utilizzata come magazzino prima di rompere gli ormeggi durante una tempesta nel 1936 e andare alla deriva nella sua posizione attuale. If you want a true experience of the Falklands, book this tour. Everything was arranged to perfection from the pick up, to the various stops, to the lovely lunch picnic that my family won’t forget!
We had a lovely tour with Carla. We were treated like old friends. Carla took us to several spots. We saw three different kinds of penguins and found a spot by the lighthouse where we saw 2 sea lions. Carla answered a lot of questions for us. We had sandwiches in the car and delicious rhubarb bars. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour!

The tour covered most of the highlights in Port Stanley. Especially thrilled by the unexpected sightings of 4 seals on cape pembroke where we had a picnic lunch, when we got our first tasting of the rhubarb cake. The guides also took us to an extra stop to see the king penguins. We got to see lots of gentou penguins in the lovely Yorke bay, got a chance to hike near gypsy cove where we saw more gentou and Magellan penguins.

This is the best tour we have ever taken in our lives. Mike is an amazing human being. He is a great ambassador for his country, and his love and knowledge of his land are evident. My 4 and 7-year-old daughters enjoyed this experience immensely. The sandwiches and details were exquisite. This is a must-do tour, done with a lot of heart and love. Paul our driver was fantastic . He was very knowledgeable about Stanley island and very personable. He drove us over the island and through the town. He brought with him homemade sandwiches and drink and it was very good. We enjoyed getting to know Stanley and Paul and the excursion was fantastic.
