This was the best snorkeling experience my wife and I have ever had! The places Mermaid private tours will take you to snorkel look like something out of the Avatar the way of water movie! I highly recommend them if you are wanting to snorkel in Moorea.

Superb family excursion this morning with Luna and Clément; in a relaxed atmosphere, we were able to discover different diving spots. Turtles, rays, sharks, and dolphins were there. Equipped with a GoPro, they will have a whole bunch of memories downloaded directly to your phone. We highly recommend this excursion with this very friendly couple.

Great guides, definitely worth it getting ahead of boats with loads of tourists. Underwater photographs came out stunning! We interacted with rays, saw sharks and turtles. Luna our guide is a marine preservation enthusiast and had exceptional info for us. I highly recommend it

WOW! We had the most amazing experience with Luna & Clem! So stoked we went with a private boat tour as we were so looked after by this lovely couple and what a day! We snorkelled with colourful tropical fish, beautiful coral gardens, turtles, eagles rays, stingrays and black tip reef sharks. Luna’s knowledge and passion for the lagoon environment was impressive. We’re writing this on our second to last day in Moorea, and after an incredible week of celebrating our 20th anniversary, we can honestly say this was the highlight of our entire trip. If you’re trying to decide whether to book with Mermaid Private Boat Tours, stop thinking about it and do it. And if you can, book the 7:00 AM tour. Luna and Clément picked us up right from the Hilton Moorea Resort boat dock, only about a five minute walk from our overwater bungalow. Everything started right on time, and from the moment we stepped aboard we knew this was going to be special. Luna’s excitement is contagious. She genuinely loves Moorea, loves the ocean, and loves sharing both with her guests. Before we even reached our first stop, we had already learned so much about the island and felt like we were exploring with a friend instead of taking a tour. The early departure turned out to be one of the best decisions we made all week. The lagoon was perfectly calm, and for much of the morning we had the water almost entirely to ourselves. Later we watched other boats begin arriving and immediately understood why Luna recommends the early tour. Our first stop was swimming with stingrays and blacktip reef sharks. We were both nervous. Really nervous. Luna and Clément never rushed us. They patiently explained everything, showed us exactly how to stand, and gave us the confidence to get into the water. Within minutes we were surrounded by incredibly curious stingrays gently swimming around us. Then we looked up… Blacktip reef sharks. Circling. More circling. Our first thought was, “What have we gotten ourselves into?!” But they stayed a respectful distance away, and before long the fear turned into complete awe. It was one of those moments we’ll be talking about for years. Next we explored an amazing coral garden. We spent close to 45 minutes snorkeling through crystal clear water filled with colorful fish and beautiful coral formations. Along the way Luna pointed out things we never would have noticed ourselves, including a poisonous crown-of-thorns starfish that damages the reef. We even fed tropical fish pieces of fresh papaya while learning about the delicate balance of the lagoon ecosystem. Our final stop took us into the deeper lagoon channel where the water turned an incredible shade of blue and the current picked up. It definitely gave us a workout, but it was worth every kick. We saw sea turtles, eagle rays, and learned how green sea turtles clean their shells by rubbing against coral. We were also lucky enough to see a much rarer turtle with a long, narrow snout that isn’t vegetarian like the green turtles. It was missing part of one front flipper, and hearing its story somehow made the encounter even more memorable. When we climbed back aboard, Luna and Clément surprised us with fresh fruit and juice from their own garden and wished us a happy 20th anniversary. It was such a thoughtful ending to an already unforgettable morning. We’ve been fortunate enough to travel to many beautiful places, but what made this experience exceptional wasn’t just the wildlife or the scenery. It was Luna and Clément. Their kindness. Their patience. Their knowledge. Their passion for protecting Moorea and sharing it with others. Thank you both for giving us memories we’ll carry with us long after our tans have faded. We couldn’t have imagined a better way to celebrate twenty years together. We hope to return someday, and when we do, we’ll be booking this tour again without hesitation. Luna and Clem were incredible! They knew exactly where to take us to see sharks, rays and turtles. They were very knowledgeable about the area and catered to all our requests. Luna took amazing pictures of us throughout the tour. We could not have been happier with the experience. If they were not booked, we would have booked them again the next day. Luna and Clem were friendly, accommodating and catered to all in our party.

What a lovely couple and what an amazing adventure we had . We swam with turtles sharks and rays and saw so many beautiful corals and fish A wee moray eel a few crown of thorns starfish and clams as well It was extraordinary and Luna and Clem were wonderful hosts and clearly very passionate about sea life and their island Moorea This was the most interesting and well organised dive I have ever been on and the perfect way to spend a morning or afternoon

Best guided tour we have been on in years! Luna and Clem were friendly and great guides. I was apprehensive about snorkeling but Luna was very reassuring and made ut a wonderful experience. And the underwater pics were beautiful!
