We couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Frenchi! She was extremely knowledgeable and personable. She expertly told the story of the Colosseum and Forum rather than just sharing facts. She tailored the tour to our group of 11, providing us options along the way. (It didn’t hurt that she also knew all the shady spots to stand in while we listened!) We began our tour with Marco. He informed us that if we were looking forward to waiting in lines, we were sure to be disappointed on our tour. Sure enough, he was right! We were remiss that we got to skip every line instead of waiting in them like we had planned to do. Afterwards, he gave us a very comprehensive tour of the forum and colosseum that made learning about the history of the place feel more like entertainment than a boring day at school. Marco has spoiled us and set a new standard for what to expect on a guided tour.
