Extremely challenging terrain and climb
This was one of the most physically challenging and difficult tours. The climb up and back to pulpit rock is really best suited for well conditioned athletes. The climb is very steep with a trail dominated by large boulders and rocks that require a lot of physical activity and navigating. The views from the top are stunning which balances with the strenuous nature of this tour.

A Must Do Experience!
Its a strenuous activity. ( im a fit 66 year old) but thoroughly well worth the climb to take in a most awesome sight. The Guidewere very friendly and helpful.

Professionally organized tour
Great tour with a very nice German guide who led us up a much more interesting path away from the main trail.

Great place, choose another tour operator.
The walk, the weather and the scenery were fantastic. But communication with the touring company was awful, even dismissive. Before departure, we explained that our ship was docking at 7:30, later than the stated departure time (7am), so we may be little late. Also I asked for assurance that we’d finish the excursion before the boat left. The response was “we will pick you up at 8.” Also I asked where we’d be picked up and the reply was “silhouette.” No one at the dock knew what “silhouette” meant. It was simply the parking lot adjacent to the dock. They didn’t show until 8:20, while waiting we tried calling and texting with no response. Again I asked the driver if we’d be back to the boat in time, and he replied by saying some people walk faster than others. A grand experience, somewhat sullied by the challenge of dealing with this touring company.

Hi, we apologize for the lack of communication in your experience with us. We have stated in the booking policies that the guide arrives between 5 minute prior to and 15 minutes after set departure time. This is because the guide usually have multiple pickup points. Our standard pickup point for cruise passengers is 20 meters from the cruise gate. We are sorry if there was any misunderstanding regarding this. Glad you had a grand experience otherwise. A fantastic hiking experience
We booked the tour on Viator, and the tour was conducted by GetGuided Norway. Our guide was Resmond ( hope I spelled his name correctly) and he was very friendly and helpful ( with tips on hiking uphills and downhills). He also prepared a walking stick for everyone, which turned out to be essential (at least for me). We completed the climb up in a little bit over 2 hours. Took a 30 minutes lunch break and then came down. My daughters and I really enjoyed the hiking -- the weather was perfect, the view was fantastic, and the trail is good combination of challenge & fun. I'd recommend this hike to anyone who is reasonably fit.
