We had an amazing day on our tour during our Mediterranean cruise. The tour guide, along with a driver, picked us up on time right outside of the port. He provided a map of the region so we knew where we were going and get a visual of Cinque Terre. He had a plan of where he wanted to take us, but when I mentioned going to Porto Venere (based on a recommendation from the tour guide we were with the day before), as well as not having a very strenuous day of uphill walking, they quickly rearranged the day to accommodate. They gave us lots of information as we were driving from the port to our first village. I had my heart set on visiting Manarola but because May 1 was an Italian holiday and the smaller villages were going to feel more crowded, we went to the largest of the 5 villages, Monterossa - our guide walked with us at first to give us the lay of the land, then left us alone so we can eat, shop, and explore at our leisure. We then took a ferry boat, which doubled as both a scenic cruise (where we got to see all the other picturesque villages!) and transportation to Porto Venere. It was a wonderful, stress-free day for us, and the van was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. 10/10 recommend BellaItalia!
Our guide was excellent and she provided a lot of history and useful information about the sites we toured. Our driver met us at the cruise terminal and provided comfortable, safe transportation and both were very friendly. We will be back to Italy and will book future tours with Bella Italia Tours.
We only had a day coming of Celebrity Edge at La Spezia but wanted to visit both Pisa and Cinque Terre so this is the best way to do it. Picked up at the port terminal by our friendly driver and guide (Laura) then whisked off to Pisa early in clean and comfortable Mercedes passenger van. Was able to beat the crowds and get private vehicle access from the "backdoor" and dropped off right at the steps of the Leaning Tower. Spent 45 minutes and then back in air-conditioned van for 1 hour ride to Monterosso. It was helpful to have walking guide through the town followed by ferry accompaniment to Vernazza and Riomaggiore. Snacked on the best Foccacine and fresh Ligurian lemonade. BellaItalia had excellent communication from their guest relations for a worry-free trip.
We had an amazing day with Luigi as our guide. We were searching for a tour which would include Pisa and also some of the Cinque Terre sites. We ended up picking Bella Italia tours and we were not disappointed. It was a lot to cover in the day but he managed to cover it comfortably in the time available. We really appreciate the customized tour which informed us about Pisa, the tower, Tuscany the tour in Vernazza, shopping, the gelato; all the while he took the time to ensure we got the best pictures. Luigi has the best suggestions for a delicious lunch in Monterresso and loved some time at their beach. The ride throughout Tuscany was so peaceful and picturesque. We would definitely recommend this tour to others. Hats off to Luigi and the the driver Giusepppe- July 2023
This was the most AMAZING shore excursion I have ever been on! ( I have been on over 50 cruises throughout the world) The Bellaitalia tour guide was wonderful! The minivan was brand new and very comfortable. We got to the first village before any of the crowds (especially the ship crowds); we left the first village just as the crowds were beginning to get there... and so it went with each village. The ferry option is the way to go if the water is cooperating; Seeing the villages from the water is spectacular! The entire trip from beginning to ending was superb and less than 1/2 the price of the ship excursions! My new Facebook friends from the ship that came with me also agreed, it was the best excursion! I highly recommend!
We had a great time, probably our best excursion on our cruise. Our tour guide Luigi and driver Stefano were the best. It was very personalized. They made sure we enjoyed ourselves and got back to the ship on time. Cinque Terre was picture perfect and a must see place if you’re close by. Even though Cinque Terre and Pisa aren’t that close we really wanted to see both and we were able to on this tour.
