Example of an itinerary starting from Naples. Pick-up at Station/Port/Airport or your Hotel and returning to Naples. Pick-up at: 08:30 towards Pompeii ruins, journey duration approximately 30/40 minutes
Arrival at Pompeii excavations around 09:00 am Entrance to the ruins where you can admire the ancient square and forum of Pompeii, where commercial negotiations, elections, speeches and processions took place in Roman times. Exploring the site, you marvel at the ancient limestone columns still standing today and you can immortalize scenes that have spanned the centuries. Then continue to the spa, where many citizens of the time spent their days bathing and chatting before the eruption. Walking along Via degli Augustali you discover the Lupanare, the ancient pleasure house of Pompeii. A two-story building with five rooms on each floor, the Lupanare is decorated with some of the most fascinating and sensual frescoes in the city. Pompeii is known throughout the world for being the city that remained buried under the graves. Tickets not included Duration 2 hours
Arrival at the vineyard around 12:00 and here you can have a relaxing lunch with the typical products of Neapolitan cuisine with wine tastings in a prestigious winery on the slopes of Vesuvius. Tasting Menu: Appetizer with typical products of the area: salami, capocollo, provolone, salted ricotta, casatiello, roasted aubergine, carrots, bruschetta with Piennolo cherry tomatoes. Durum wheat spaghetti with piennolo cherry tomato sauce and basil Neapolitan pastiera made with ricotta, wheat and candied fruit Price Lunch not Included duration approximately 2 hours
At approximately 11.30 am meeting at the exit of the excavations and traveling in the direction of the Vesuvius panoramic road to reach a beautiful vineyard at the foot of Vesuvius, journey duration approximately 20 minutes.
Departure from the restaurant at approximately 01:30 pm and return to Naples the same place pick you up. Travel time approximately 30 minutes

This tour was great. Make sure to wear walking shoes. And have water to drink. We went in June and it was very hot. Fabio was great.

Fabio was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately it was a rainy day so wouldn’t could visit Mt. Vesuvius and Fabio still made our tour wonderful! We visited Pompeii and Bosco De Medici winery. Fabio let us take our time, there was never any rush which was so nice. He answered all of our questions and was a great guide telling us all the different histories and places. My husband and I highly recommend this tour! Thank you Fabio for a wonderful experience!

Our hike up to the Vesuvius crater, the winery lunch and visit to Pompeii was one of the highlights of our 8-day trip to Italy! Our driver, Fabio, was extremely communicative and was waiting for us at the Naples train station. It would have been nice if the cost of lunch was included in the Viator package, however the meal and wines were spectacular. Also, I appreciated that there was no pressure to purchase any wines. The waitstaff ensured we had enough time to enjoy lunch and get to Pompeii on time. Highly recommend this trip: it was a seamless and memorable day trip from Rome.

We had the most wonderful day in Naples, our driver Fabio was so kind and courteous and sent an introduction confirmation message to us on pickup time and place the day before offering us some suggestions on how our day could play out; leaving it up to us we decided on a local restaurant after Pompeii and the food and service were absolutely delicious! We had already done a winery tour the day before off our cruise ship excursions so it was an excellent change of pace for us and so appreciated his arranging a reservation for our group of 5. Fabio was so fun and entertaining to talk to, very knowledgeable about the area and also so friendly and easy to communicate on pickup with after Pompeii, very safe driver as well!! We all would highly recommend him and use again if ever traveling to the Naples area!! Pompeii was so interesting as well, we all enjoyed it and glad we made it part of our trip, you could spend hours there, so much to see.

On June 6, 2024 our family had the most amazing day visiting Pompeii and and then enjoying lunch and wine tasting at the foot of Mount Vesuvius. Our driver was Paolo. He was so much fun, had a fabulous sense of humor, very engaging with all of our family and very knowledgeable. When we go back to the Naples area, we will definitely use Paolo again!!
