Questo tour di un'intera giornata dei Siti Patrimonio dell'Umanità di Pompei ed Ercolano inizia con un pick-up a Napoli e un trasferimento in autobus alle rovine di Pompei. Ci sarà un assistente turistico sul bus durante questa parte dell'escursione. Arrivati a Pompei esplorerete le rovine per circa 2 ore. Scopri le tradizioni e la vita quotidiana degli antichi abitanti di Pompei. Vedrai il grande teatro, la necropoli, i bagni termali e alcune delle incredibili case che appartenevano ai residenti più ricchi. Godetevi un pranzo leggero incluso in un ristorante locale. Dopo pranzo, dirigiti a Ercolano dove avrai la possibilità di esplorare le rovine da solo. Qui è possibile osservare la vita quotidiana della popolazione in modo ancora più dettagliato che a Pompei, poiché il fango e i detriti vulcanici che ricoprivano la città conservavano le strutture e i manufatti di Ercolano.

Dopo l'ultimo ritiro guideremo dal centro di Napoli al parco archeologico di Pompei
Al momento della drammatica eruzione, Pompei contava circa 11.000 abitanti, mentre Ercolano contava una popolazione di circa 5.000 persone. Numerosi imperatori e aristocratici avevano le loro ville di villeggiatura in queste città. Un giorno, nel 79 dC, diversi metri di cenere seppellirono l'intera area nel giro di poche ore. Secoli dopo, nel 1748, sotto il governo borbonico, iniziarono i lavori di scavo. La scoperta fu accolta con entusiasmo poiché aggiunse grande ricchezza al regno e ispirò il movimento neoclassico in Europa. Oggi le rovine di Pompei sono tra i siti archeologici più visitati al mondo, mentre Ercolano si rinnova per la sua Villa dei Papiri che contiene una biblioteca di oltre 1800 papiri. Visita degli scavi (2 ore circa) e se il tempo lo permette anche di una fabbrica di coralli e cammei per ammirare il procedimento produttivo svolto da esperti artigiani

Dopo pranzo in un ristorante locale. Nel pomeriggio, ti dirigerai verso le rovine di Ercolano.
Dopo la visita ad Ercolano, ritorno a Napoli nello stesso luogo della mattinata.

The tour was great. The pickup and transfers with Giuseppe are very well organized and air-conditioned, which is super necessary due to the heat in Naples. Giuseppe takes care of managing tickets, guides, and audio guides. The guide for Pompeii, Patricia, is highly recommended, with deep knowledge of the archaeological park, and the same goes for the guide for Herculaneum, María. The only drawback is that the visit to Pompeii is about two hours, so there is not enough time to visit the entire complex.

This day was a good experience that we could recommend to you. The visit to Pompeii with our French-speaking guide was great (group of approx. 25 people), although 2 hours only allows you to visit a small part of the city, the locations were well chosen. Despite the lack of a French-speaking guide on-site at Herculaneum, our organizer guide Christianno was top-notch and did his best to find the solution that would suit us best! The only downside of the day: the meal. At the restaurant only 3 dish choices (margherita, schnitzel and frozen fries or pasta with tomato sauce) no choice for the appetizer or dessert, it's salad and vanilla ice cream. Few choices but it does the trick for a snack.

The tour was too slow. First of all, they changed our time. Later we understood why. From one group in English and other in Spanish, they made just one. The explanations from guides were too slow, and they repeated all twice, in Spanish and in English. This is a torture under this sun and heat. It was a moment I decided to go by myself and it was the best idea. Maria, the old lady in Ercolano, missed many points. My family stayed with her and they missed the best parts. I could see more things because I did it by myself. Also, it was a french family that had nothing in french. I had to help them with the translation. At the end they went also by theirselves. A shame. I will not recommend at all this tour.
