Pompei ed Ercolano sono due dei siti archeologici più straordinari d'Europa, ma raggiungerli può essere impegnativo. Viaggiando in treno ad alta velocità, abbiamo eliminato lo stress in modo che tu possa trascorrere il tuo tempo visitando siti incredibili e creando ricordi, senza sederti su un autobus angusto! Pompei era una città grande e diversificata, con un sano mix di ricca élite, mercanti, artigiani e schiavi, le cui vite potrai osservare in modo cristallino durante un tour a piedi di 2 ore. Dopo un po' di riposo e ricarica in un'autentica pizzeria, un breve trasferimento ci porterà alla nostra seconda destinazione. Grande meno della metà di Pompei, Ercolano era una piccola città costiera caratterizzata da strutture in legno straordinariamente conservate e vivaci affreschi. Con una guida esperta al tuo fianco, segui le orme dei nobili romani che un tempo chiamavano casa questa città perduta. Al termine del tour, un breve trasferimento ti riporterà alla stazione di Napoli, dove ti aspetta il treno veloce per tornare a Roma!

Arriva a Napoli e sali a bordo di un minibus di lusso con aria condizionata diretto direttamente all'area archeologica di Pompei.

Wow!!! This tour is incredible!! We did day trip from Rome to Pompeii & Herculaneum by train. Pompeii was amazing, lunch was delicious and very filling, and Herculaneum is NOT TO BE MISSED…a true gem of preserved ancient history, even more so than Pompeii. Paula was a spectacular guide!!!
I didn’t realize how big Pompeii was, will definitely do again on our trip. Love how Italia Tours made sure we got on the right train in Rome and Naples. Great adventure!

Our tour guide Antonio was a Pompeii legend. He was friendly and shared many interesting facts about all things Pompeii and Herculaneum. The lunch included was also fantastic and a great way to separate the two sites.
This was an amazing day! It was planned very well - train (relatively short and comfortable- easy to navigate with their instructions), nice short car rides - with local professional driver who was a joy - very knowledgeable tour guide (Ida) who let us make the trip our own. My parents are older and slow. Ida found shade for them and led us to the main sites at their pace. The lunch was also very good!! We were back in Rome in time to freshen up and have a later dinner! Long (and hot) day (make sure to bring water and a hat/sunscreen and wear comfortable clothes and shoes), but so worth it!
This tour was the highlight of our three-weeks travel in France & Italy. It was well-organised; logistical instructions were clear; and we were greeted on-time by Italia tours at both Rome Termini & Napoli train stations. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient with the many questions asked by our inquisitive group. The ‘pizza lunch’ was top quality food with some choices from the menu available to us. It was a 12-hour day but absolutely worth it!
This tour was so well organized from beginning to end. We had received an email with a photo showing the exact spot we were to meet up with a tour representative at Roma Termini to begin our day. She made sure all participants were accounted for and then escorted us to the appropriate train. We had also received an email with a photo showing the exact spot we were to meet up with our tour guide upon arrival in Naples. There we met Rose who would be our guide for the day. From the train station, we were transported by a dedicated small bus to Pompeii to begin our tour. I was so impressed with Rose's knowledge of the various types of structures we saw and of the events that took place on that fateful day. At the conclusion of our Pompeii tour, we had a wonderful lunch at a restaurant right near the entrance. The menu included our choice of starters, entree, desert, and drink. From there we boarded our bus and headed to Herculaneum. Rose explained to us in detail the differences between the two cities - the sizes of the homes, the infrastructure, and the wealth of the residents of Herculaneum. Throughout, Rose patiently answered our questions and was very mindful of the group's needs with timely rest and bathroom breaks. At the conclusion of our tour, we boarded our bus and headed back to the Naples train station. There we were guided to the appropriate train for our trip back to Rome. It couldn't have been a more perfect day!
Excellent communication and friendly guide. Guide was knowledgeable and lunch was above expectations. Sites were amazing. Lots of walking on uneven surfaces could be challenging for those with difficulty walking. I highly recommend this tour.
This was very through and entertaining. Due to the topography it is definitely not recommended for anyone who has any disabilities. The lunch was much more than just Pizza.
Fabulous tour. Was able to see both Pompeii and Herculaneum in one day plus there was a great lunch included. Very well organized tour.
