Poble Sec e Sant Antoni offrono uno sguardo da vicino alla vita locale di Barcellona, con strade strette, vecchi teatri come El Molino e un ritmo modellato dai residenti piuttosto che dai turisti. Mentre cammini, sentirai come si sono sviluppati questi quartieri, come la cultura sociale all'aperto come Terracear è diventata parte della vita quotidiana e perché questa zona si sente ancora radicata anche se cambia lentamente. Le degustazioni rispecchiano lo stesso ritmo locale. Ad ogni fermata, assaggerete una varietà di piccoli piatti, dai bocconcini da taverna in stile Cadice come il pesce fritto o il tonno stagionato ai platillos di stagione preparati in una piccola cucina gestita dallo chef che apre solo poche notti a settimana. La serata si conclude con un paio di dolci nostalgici abbinati al cava. Ogni fermata offre un mix diverso, a seconda del giorno e delle preferenze del gruppo.

Inizieremo appena fuori dal famoso teatro El Molino, che un tempo si chiamava Le petit Moulin Rouge, prima di snodarci nel quartiere Poble Sec, alla scoperta di tre dei migliori ristoranti della città.
Prende il nome da un famoso cantante di flamenco, questo non è proprio un ristorante ma una vera taverna in stile meridionale: niente sedie, solo sgabelli e tanto carattere. Tutto proviene da Cadice, la città natale della proprietaria, dove ottiene i vini direttamente dai piccoli produttori. Aspettati una cucina onesta e senza fronzoli, con degustazioni come carciofi con mojama, fritto di pescaíto, panini con stufato di maiale o chicharrón croccante, il tutto accompagnato da vino bianco secco.
Scopri questa energia giovane e vibrante, dove accaparrarsi un tavolo può sembrare un traguardo in sé. È il luogo perfetto per praticare l’arte della “terrazza”: reclamare un posto su una terrazza e sorvegliarla ferocemente mentre sorseggi e spuntini a passo svelto, immersi nella vivace atmosfera.
Questa è una bella e unica facciata realizzata con un patchwork colorato di mosaici. Fu costruita all'inizio del 1900 da un architetto sconosciuto.
Esperto di platillos di alta qualità: piccoli piatti con un pizzico di fusione per renderli emozionanti. Ogni piatto è delizioso, ma le loro patatas bravas sono davvero indimenticabili. Ne assaggeremo alcuni, insieme a un po 'di pane fai da te con pomodoro, carote in stile mediorientale, maiale iberico alla griglia, stufato a coda di bue, cannelloni ripieni di carne o piatti di verdure di stagione, abbinati al vino rosso catalano.
La piazza ha preso il nome dalla fontana originale, che in seguito è stata spostata a Montjuïc e sostituita da una copia della fontana Canaletes. Ospita il centro civico attivo di Poble Sec e un luogo perfetto per le famiglie che si rilassano davanti a un drink mentre i bambini giocano, incarnando lo stile di vita rilassato e sano del villaggio mediterraneo proprio nel cuore della città.
Questo spot rende omaggio alla fine degli anni ’90 e all’inizio degli anni 2000, quando Macaulay Culkin fece festa a Barcellona prima che fosse di moda. L'arredamento eccentrico e i cimeli catturano quell'epoca, ma la vera star sono i dessert: non perdetevi la torrija e la mousse al cioccolato con sale e olio d'oliva, da gustare al meglio con un bicchiere di cava.

Esther was a superb host for our tour and gave us plenty of context to not only the food we were eating but the areas we were strolling through. Over the 3 hours we had more than enough to eat with a total of 6 savoury dishes that were all superb and mostly were tapas style dishes that I had never had before, which was unexpected. There were also 2 sweets and a total of 3 glasses of wine and I was lucky in that I only had two other people on the tour so it felt very exclusive and private. Would highly recommend.

This a must do experience. We went to three restaurants, all three were amazing. The tapas, the wine, the desserts- all very special. The guide, Esther was by far the best part. We felt very lucky that she was our guide she showed us places that we would’ve otherwise walked right past. She was fun, kind and so generous with her time and knowledge- not only of Barcelona but the other cities we were going to cost next on our trip. Don’t leave Barcelona without taking this tour!

This is a great tour of a less touristy area. We loved exploring a residential neighbourhood and seeing where the locals eat. Everything we ate was excellent! Our guide Kornelia was excellent and gave us lots of local insights and tips for our stay. If you want to see a beautiful neighbourhood with a very chill vibe, absolutely check out this tour. This is also a lovely area to stay if you're looking for somewhere more laid-back (we're staying in Sant Antoni). We will definitely be going back to the places we went on the tour!
