This is hands down one of the best things I have ever done on any holiday and it does feel like it has the spirit of what it means to come to Japan to mod a classic console. The experience is up to 3 hours to give time to troubleshoot if you needed to but it's lovely to sit and chat with the staff as they are so kind. They arranged beforehand to meet us and the communication was excellent. The customisation you get for the game boy was amazing, it feels like I have made a console that will be unique to me, I got to choose shell, all buttons and switches, the screen surround and even the sides.
Easy to follow, well explained, a lot of fun! This is a great activity for all ages, you don't need to be an electronics expert.
Such a fun and unique experience! This was my first time doing anything like Game Boy modding, and I really enjoyed every part of it. We got to choose our own colors and parts, take everything apart, learn some basic soldering, and rebuild it into our own custom Game Boy. The instructor was super patient and friendly, and made the whole process easy even for a complete beginner. I left with a Game Boy I actually made myself, which made it such a cool souvenir from Tokyo. Definitely recommend!

So much fun, if you like Gameboy and retro games this is a fun activity that brings you back in time. Bim does a great job explaining everything. And you get to the Gameboy!!

I had an amazing time, it was like bringing me back to my childhood. We were really take care for, starting from the orientation of which models we could modify, to the different colors of buttons, and finally to the games. Would definitely recommend to Nintendo Kids out there!
