Parti per un viaggio alla scoperta di quattro attrazioni iconiche lungo il percorso del Circolo d'Oro: i geyser, la cascata d'oro, Thingvellir e lo spettacolare cratere vulcanico Kerið. Tuttavia, invece di tornare direttamente a Reykjavík dopo aver esplorato queste meraviglie naturali, questo tour offre una svolta unica. Una volta prelevati, la nostra tappa iniziale del Golden Circle Tour è l'Iceland Hot Springs Park a Hveragerði. Un breve viaggio ti porterà al geyser Eilífur, che erutta ogni 15-20 minuti. Passeggia lungo i sentieri del parco, avvolto dalle gorgoglianti sorgenti termali che mettono in risalto le meraviglie geotermiche dell'Islanda. Assaporate l'hverabrauð, un pane dolce cotto utilizzando il calore geotermico nel panificio in loco. All'interno della serra, osserva le piante di banane prosperare in questo ambiente geotermico unico.
La tappa successiva è Kerid, un cratere vulcanico dai colori vivaci. Kerid ha solo poche migliaia di anni e l’aspetto colorato del cratere deriva dai depositi di ferro nelle rocce. La caldera è inoltre ricoperta da lussureggianti banchi di muschio verde-velluto. All'interno del cratere si trova un lago poco profondo dal colore turchese, che rende Kerid uno dei luoghi più suggestivi visti ovunque in Islanda.
Gullfoss, o "Cascate d'Oro" in inglese, è una cascata a due gradini alimentata dal vicino ghiacciaio di Langjokull con acqua gelida di disgelo, che precipita per 30 metri in un profondo burrone. La potenza di queste cascate crea molta nebbia e spruzzi, quindi potresti bagnarti un po' se ti avvicini troppo! Nelle giornate soleggiate, ciò significa che ci saranno anche costanti spettacoli di arcobaleni brillanti.
La tappa successiva del tuo tour del Circolo d'Oro è Geysir, il punto forte dell'area geotermica di Haukadalur. Ribollente di attività "sorgenti termali", questo è il luogo che ha dato il nome ai geyser di tutto il mondo. Lì puoi ammirare Strokkur, un geyser attivo che erutta ogni 10-15 minuti.
Il Parco Nazionale di Thingvellir è un luogo dove vedrai lo spettacolo sorprendente delle placche continentali che si dividono. Qui puoi stare con un piede in America e l'altro in Europa, su entrambi i lati della dorsale medio atlantica. Thingvellir è un luogo di grande significato storico e culturale per gli islandesi. È qui che il suo primo parlamento si riuniva da mille anni, quando i capi si riunivano per legiferare, amministrare la giustizia e risolvere le controversie. Alcuni furono addirittura giustiziati nella “vasca degli annegamenti”!
Alla fine della giornata, l'autobus si dirigerà verso i Fiordi delle Balene, conducendoti alla sorgente termale di Hvammsvik. Qui potrai immergerti nella perfetta combinazione tra l'acqua geotermica che scende a 1400 metri sotto la superficie e l'acqua di mare del vicino Oceano Atlantico. Questa straordinaria miscela di acqua forma un flusso continuo che scende a cascata tra le piscine, si riversa oltre i bordi e ritorna nell'oceano, garantendo un'eccezionale qualità e purezza dell'acqua.

Tieni presente che il luogo di ritiro può essere presso il tuo hotel o un punto di raccolta stabilito dalla città di Reykjavík se l'alloggio si trova all'interno di un'area a traffico commerciale limitato. Il luogo esatto del ritiro sarà confermato dal tour operator entro e non oltre 24 ore dalla prenotazione di questo tour.

Very busy but there was a lovely stop at the geothermal farm, we were shot of time due to the family from the cruise ship being late.
Only reason for the 4 was the bus. My husband is a tall and large man, making the day on the bus cramped and uncomfortable. Guide was informative, entertaining and great sense of humour. Sights were beautiful and the spa was amazing.
Absolute 5-star experience! If you are coming to Iceland, booking the Golden Circle tour is a must, but if you want it to be truly magical, pray that you get Elias as your guide! From the very first moment, Elias brought such an incredible, warm energy to the group. He isn't just a guide who recites facts; he is a masterful storyteller with a fantastic sense of humor and a deep, genuine passion for his country. Thanks to him, we didn't just see the breathtaking sights of Thingvellir, the roaring Gullfoss waterfall, and the exploding geysers—we truly felt the spirit of Iceland. Absolute highlight of our trip to Iceland!! Everything was well planned, and the hotel was a pleasant surprise with a nearby food hall. Our guide, Lori, went out of the way to ensure we knew where to see the best views and even helped us find a puffin!! I wish we would have stayed with the same group for the 2 day tour, but having Lori both days made it worth it!! Highly recommend! Small group was perfect!!

The golden circle was spectacular, even when driving between stops just staring out of the window was awe inspiring, but our favourite part was seeing where the Thingvellir nation park (Bloody Gate for GOT fans). Worth it just to stand between two continents with amazing views. The whole trip was made even more enjoyable wby our guide Bear who provide a lot of interesting facts as well as some sagas and a nice bit of dry humour. We would definitely recommend. Absolutely amazing & must do tour! We chose the Hvammsvik Hot Spring over the Blue / Sky lagoon as it provides a more natural experience in the Whale Fjord & we were lucky enough to get a double rainbow. It's everything you want & more... You won't regret it.

Fabulous tour today! We stoped to see Icelandic horses and shared so much great information everywhere we went.
