La città di San Luis Potosí ha più di 430 anni di storia. La sua ricchezza culturale si esprime nell'architettura dei suoi edifici, piazze, giardini e templi. Godetevi il Centro Storico proprio come fanno i suoi cittadini. Le nostre guide sono accreditate dal governo federale del Messico.

Itinerario
Dopo aver riconosciuto le origini vicereali della fondazione della città, entreremo nel patio dell'Edificio Centrale dell'Università Autonoma di San Luis Potosí per conoscere le dinamiche degli ordini religiosi nella vita della società potosí in quei tempi della Nuova Spagna e come la sede si è evoluta nel tempo; sempre con vocazione educativa.
In questo edificio furono raccolti i contributi del famoso "Quinto Real", oltre a salvaguardare le produzioni di Oro e Argento dei minatori di Potosí. Questa struttura è attualmente un centro culturale amministrato dall'Università Autonoma di San Luis Potosí.
Scopriremo i dintorni dell'Antico Convento Francescano. Visiteremo il Giardino Guerrero, il Tempio di San Francisco de Asís, il vicolo Santo Entierro e la Plaza de Aránzazu mentre descriviamo l'iconografia più notevole e gli usi che ha attualmente da parte dei cittadini di San Luis Potosí.
Cammineremo dal Giardino Guerrero, passando per l'ex Convento Agustino e fino ad arrivare a Plaza del Carmen dove vedremo l'esterno di due edifici: il Museo Nazionale della Maschera e il Teatro della Pace. Visiteremo l'interno del Tempio di San Elías e interpreteremo l'iconografia della sua facciata, della pala d'altare, dell'altare dei sette principi e del camerino della Vergine del Carmen.
Cammineremo da Plaza del Carmen per raggiungere il Jardín Hidalgo o Plaza de Armas. Vedremo l'esterno del Palazzo del Governo, del Vecchio Municipio e del Congresso di Stato. Interpreteremo l'iconografia della facciata della Cattedrale Metropolitana di San Luis Potosí e i fatti più interessanti della sua storia. Concluderemo il nostro tour passando accanto al chiosco del giardino per tornare a Plaza Fundadores, il nostro punto d'incontro.

Miguel was a wonderful, extremely knowledgeable guide. He is fluent in Spanish and English and taught me so much about the history of the city, the architecture, the university, and the landscape. I would highly recommend this tour and this guide!

Miguel was really good. I had my solo tour. I was the only one. Pity because it would have been nice to interact with others but he made it really good. He did it in Spanish translating in English when I needed.

Absolutely terrific guide. Miguel’s stories made the tour captivating. He tailored our speed so everyone stayed interested and could keep up. We saw so many special places, understand the community better and had fun. Highly recommend.
On time, enjoyable and does not cancel if there are just two of you like some others. He was very slow moving from one area to another so that would be my suggestion for slight improvement. Standing is very hard for seniors, movement is actually better and keeps photographers more engaged. I would recommend this first day you arrive in the city. I learned a lot, thank you.
