The tour was interesting and educational. Our driver Khalani was exceptional and very helpful! He definitely made the tour fun!
Lena was wonderful! She picked us up promptly at 6:00 a.m. and even took us by Starbucks for coffee. She dropped us off at Pearl Harbor where we had a lovely day exploring and learning the history. She then picked us up at 3:30 for our Honolulu City Tour. We stopped by Leonard’s Bakery for a delicious malsada. She then took us around the city to see the main sites. She was very friendly and shared some Hawaiian history with us. It was a wonderful day!
The tour guide Kanoe( kuh no ee) made this a great experience. We went as a family and saw the short history via a movie and allowed the guys to ferry over to the memorial site.( a couple was there scattered their fathers ashes(has to be scheduled ahead of), but thought that was nice to have the ability for those who have family members who served in the armed services. Very informative runs about five hours. There is a small food stand with snacks in site ( but expensive), take only clear bags as this is an active military site. Or pay ten dollars for bags and purses bigger than a wallet).
The tour guide was great, she was very knowledgable and personable. The Pearl Harbor/USS Arizona Memorial tour was great. Only reason why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the rest of the tour was all by van, which is fine, I just think getting out the van more often at some of the other sites would have been nice.
I was expecting a guide and tickets included for the trip. Ended up, This is just a pure transportation service. The guide only brings you to the gate and tell you to sign up for a standby ticket to USS Arizona Memorial. Yes, standby ticket for you to wait 2 hours. The activity detail is misleading customers. I paid $260 for a family of 4. Not worth the wait, the time, and money. You can get away with just Ubering for half the price, and you get better flexibility in time and takes good care of your wallet. And don't bring any bag, or else you get to spend some time lining up at storage for dropping and picking up your stuffs. Note that the agency did told us not to bring any bag.
Avoid at all costs, ruined our Honolulu visit. Left tour midway, because of unsafe driver, inaccurate information and tour bus broke down.
This is an excellent tour, well worth the cost, the guide was professional but at the same time funny and informative. Highly recommended
Our tour guide was Shelley who knew her stuff about the island. I have to say it feels like a rip off paying for the tour when you can enter Pearl Harbour for free (we did not know this before we went). It cost $144 for the two of us to go on the tour which included a drive around some memorials followed by 2 hours at the Pearl Harbour site. Once you got to Pearl Harbour you did your own thing, maybe I was naive to think there would be some sort of ‘tour’ inside. In hindsight, I wish we had got an uber there and did our own thing - it would have been much cheaper.
Horrible Experience – Avoid Aloha Tours at ALL Costs I purchased FOUR tickets for the Pearl Harbor USS Arizona tour through Aloha Tours, and it was one of the worst travel decisions I’ve ever made. First red flag: the pickup was over an hour late with ZERO apology or explanation. We were just left standing there wondering if they’d ever show up. When we finally got on the bus, a screeching, rude, and unprofessional female tour operator informed us that they actually didn’t even have our (or anybody’s) tickets… and we should hope to be able to get onto to memorial if it wasn’t too busy or sold out! Let that sink in — this company is selling tours they don’t have tickets for. We were told to get in the standby line and try to get tickets ourselves. So what exactly did we pay this company for? Stress? Lies? Wasted time? Do not purchase from this dishonest, disorganized, deplorable company. And what we learned… You don’t need a “tour” for Pearl Harbor — just get yourself there and wait in the standby queue. At least then you won’t waste money on a scam outfit that can’t deliver on what they advertise. Total rip-off. Zero stars. Save yourself the frustration and go ANY other way.
Beware – Aloha Hawaii Tours Is a Fake and Dishonest Company We booked the Pearl Harbor USS Arizona Memorial and Honolulu City Tour with Aloha Hawaii Tours, and it was a complete scam. They were late, never showed up, and still refuse to refund our money. They advertise tours and tickets they don’t even have. Just go by yourself to the memorial — you can do everything on your own, faster and better. This is not a real company. Aloha Hawaii Tours is a rip-off and fake service. Be careful!
