The trip with Jason Rojas from Alma Tours was a great experience. He is good at communicating to both adults and children and extremely good at finding and showing the animals. See more animals on this trip than the rest of the time in Costa Rica. Group of max 6 persons recommended.

From the start to the end the experience was incredible. Guide Jason was waiting for us at the meeting point right on time, with a big smile. He was very professional, passionate about nature, very friendly, well equipped, he is a Monteverde local so he definitely he had great insights about the area, and great knowledge about biodiversity, all questions we had were answered proficiently. We were super lucky since we all know nature is unpredictable, but we ended up seeing so Many animals, from an awake owl, to a sleeping tucán, snakes, frogs, scorpions, sloth eating, among others. 100% recommend this tour, and Jason as a guide. We enjoyed it very much, and listening to the jungle was magical and special. Thank you so much!

We went on the monteverde night walk with Jason as our guide. It was amazing!! I didn’t expect to see as many animals as we did. We even saw an owl and a quetzal. You can really tell that this isn’t just a job for Jason. He is genuinely passionate about the animals in this land and is very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour with him!!

Jason was a great guide finding interesting creatures. Did not see everything we wanted but the animals are on their own schedule. Pace was great, slow and smooth looking for all the animals. Was wet so plan accordingly. Would recommend.

The night walk was an unforgettable experience; it was incredible, and there are no words to describe how beautiful it was. We thank our guide Jason; he was very attentive and kind in every description of the insects, reptiles, trees, and plants he provided, etc. How great that they preserve and care for their wildlife! We loved it!

We weren’t sure whether it would be a good idea to take our 5 year old son but this tour was fascinating and exceeded our expectations. The tour company thoughtfully arranged it so our child wouldn’t slow down other adult groups. Jason was a fantastic guide and was very patient with our son. He helped us take some stunning photos through the scope. He had a comprehensive and deep knowledge base and fielded anything we asked. I spotted a specific type of glass frog and he and his colleagues let me know it was the first spotted in this reserve! Would highly recommend.
