Con una Guida esclusiva, fai un tour a piedi di 2,5 ore in uno dei quartieri più antichi e iconici di Parigi: il Quartiere Latino. Inizierai dalla Cattedrale di Notre Dame (solo esterni) prima di dirigerti a piedi verso il parco giochi degli studenti Francesi e della Generazione Perduta. Le attrazioni includono il Panthéon e il Giardino del Lussemburgo. Seleziona un orario di partenza mattutino o pomeridiano al momento della prenotazione.

Itinerario
Una volta arrivati al punto di incontro, inizierete il tour esplorando l'ile de la cite, il più antico insediamento di Parigi. Una volta conosciuta come Lutetia, questa ex città romana era il predecessore dell'attuale Parigi, da cui la città è cresciuta verso l'esterno.
Da qui, vedrai la famigerata Cattedrale di Notre Dame (solo esterna) - la più famosa delle cattedrali gotiche del Medioevo, distinta per le sue dimensioni, l'antichità e l'interesse architettonico.
Passerete poi accanto alla fontana Saint-Michel, una fontana monumentale commissionata da Haussmann, sotto Napoleone III. Raffigura l'arcangelo Michele che vince il Diavolo, evocando pensieri della battaglia tra Bene e Male.
Successivamente ci dirigeremo verso Shakespeare and Company, una libreria diversa da qualsiasi altra. A pochi minuti da Notre Dame, è probabilmente una delle librerie più famose al mondo dove i letterati della generazione Beatnik avrebbero trovato casa negli anni '50 e '60.
Proseguendo, vedrai la chiesa parrocchiale greco-cattolica melchita, Saint Julien le Pauvre, uno degli edifici religiosi più antichi della città.
Vedrai anche la chiesa cattolica romana di Saint Séverin, una delle chiese più antiche che rimane in piedi sulla riva sinistra e che continua ad essere utilizzata come luogo di culto.
Successivamente, ci dirigeremo verso il Musée de Cluny, noto anche come il Museo Nazionale del Medioevo. Questo museo è parzialmente costruito sui resti delle terme gallo-romane del terzo secolo e ospita famose collezioni dal I al XV secolo.
Successivamente ci dirigeremo verso la famigerata Università della Sorbona, un college che divenne l'epicentro della conoscenza. La storia della Sorbona è strettamente legata a quella della creazione dell'università Francese.
Ci dirigeremo poi verso il Pantheon (Solo Esterno), un edificio originariamente costruito come chiesa dedicata a Santa Genevieva, ma ora funziona come mausoleo secolare, contenente le spoglie di noti cittadini Francesi come Voltaire e Rousseau.
Andremo poi ai bellissimi giardini del Lussemburgo, situati al confine tra Saint-Germain-des-Prés e il Quartiere Latino. I gar DEns, ispirati al Giardino di Boboli a Firenze, furono creati nel 1612 per iniziativa della regina Maria de Medici e coprono 25 ettari di terreno.
Se avremo tempo, vedremo la chiesa di Saint-Éienne du Mont, che contiene il santuario di St Geneviève e la tomba di Jean Racine.
Passeremo anche vicino al Muro di Filippo Agosto, la più antica cinta muraria di Parigi. Il muro fu costruito durante le lotte tra Filippo II di Francia e la casa anglo-normanna di Plantageneto, poiché il re francese ordinò di costruire un muro di pietra per proteggere la capitale francese prima di partire per la Terza Crociata.

We were in Paris during the heat wave. The other travelers backed out and we were lucky to have a private tour with Eden. . She was professional and personable. It was clear she loved Paris. We were able to see the Musee de Cluny, Sorbonne, Pantheon, church of Saint Severin and the gorgeous Luxembourg gardens. This was a wonderful overview.
Our guide, Georgia, was one of the most knowledgeable tour guides we’ve ever had, and we’ve been on many tours. Our 2.5 hour tour of the Latin quarter was as much a history lesson as it was a sites tour. If we were staying longer, we would sign up for another of Georgia’s tours. We could not recommend this tour, and Georgia, more highly. Thank you Georgia!!

Maria S was a fantastic and extremely knowledgeable guide. My husband and I loved learning about the history and current events of this arrondissement. Some of the site stops were typical for Latin Quarter and some were hidden stories/gems we would never have found on our own. Maria S was also well organized - sending confirmation messages and even a map pin to find her.
This was a great tour covering the history of the Latin Quarter, from Roman ruins up through the jazz clubs of the 1920s. Our guide, Eden, was wonderful. She brought us all through the neighborhood, from the Seine all the way through to Luxembourg Gardens. She explained the history of the area and how each site we visited played a role in shaping the culture of the Latin Quarter and of Paris. If you are staying on the Left Bank I recommend booking this tour early in your stay; the information and context you’ll get from it will serve you well for the reminder of your time in Paris.

Eden really knows how to make a tour both fun and informative. I originally booked with my husband but he couldn't go so I went solo. Had a great time. Whether you are solo or with others, Eden can make your day.
Alisair was an awesome guide for many reasons. He was British so his English was good. He had studied theater so his witty way of describing places and events was very entertaining. And he was very conscious of the fact that the temp was in the 90’s so he sought out shade and places to sit quite frequently, which was good since 4 of the 6 in the group were in our 70’s. As I think others have noted, this tour does not go inside Notre Dame so I also booked the Notre Dame and City Center tour which allowed for 20 minutes inside the cathedral. Both were different and well worth it.
