Paragon Lahaina Sunset Vela

This was a lovely cruise. I picked it because it seemed more family friendly than some of the other options. I also liked how it was a smaller group. Happy to also support business returning to Lahaina. Great crew! Enjoyed some complimentary Maui brews and light snacks. Don’t expect dinner or narrated tour. For us, it was just what we hoped.

We had an incredible sunset sailing experience! The crew was outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip feel very personal. They shared interesting information throughout the sail while making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the entire experience was unforgettable. They took exceptional care of my family and me from start to finish. Toward the end of the trip, I started feeling motion sickness, and the crew was incredibly kind and attentive. They checked on me, helped me through it, and made sure I was okay, which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend this sunset sail to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable experience with a crew that genuinely cares about their guests!

My family and I had a GREAT sunset trip with Sail Maui. The three-person crew was excellent: friendly, kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. They made us feel completely at home while we took in the gorgeous views and enjoyed the warm weather. We really could not have asked for a nicer way to end the day. The whole trip felt magical and my two sons said that this was hands-down their favorite memory of our entire Maui vacation. (I'll be sure to use that as leverage the next time they refuse to clean their bedrooms!) Food was simple but yummy and was optimized for eating on a rocking boat. Think: skewers of teriyaki chicken and mozzarella cheese. Service was surprisingly fast and attentive. These folks are pros and have the whole trip down to a science. Just sit back and relax and you'll have a glass in your hands before you know it. The parking lot / meetup area was easy to find thanks to clear directions from the business. At the time of our visit in July 2026, the downtown Lahaina area was still rebuilding from the big fire a few years ago, so this was necessary. The catamaran boat has two restrooms should the need arise. One of my kids needed to use the facilities during our voyage. They were perfectly serviceable, just bear in mind that you'll be moving around a bit down below deck.

This was a great experience. The fee was very reasonable. The crew was excellent and professional. The length of the sail was perfect and the crew made sure we stayed out past sunset so we could actually see the sunset while we were still sailing. They were very attentive and made sure we had plenty of drinks, we stayed hydrated, and had plenty to eat. The size was of the group was perfect. It is advertised that they take no more than 25 and we only have 14 people on our sail. The atmosphere was very friendly and laid-back. The crew made us feel very comfortable and taken care of. I would definitely recommend.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon and booked this sunset cruise for our first night in Maui. The views, crew, ship, and refreshments were perfect! Would go again 10/10!

My second trip with Saul Maui. My companions first trip and is a definite must do every time I visit Maui. There are lots of boats to choose from but I would highly recommend Sail Maui as the captain’s and deck hands have gone above any expectations. Thank you for another fantastic trip. There are a lot of sunset sail options on Maui, and I’m so glad I chose the Paragon Sunset Sail! This is not a “luxury cruise” and that’s exactly what I loved about it. If you’re looking for a relaxed, laid back sunset sail with a friendly vibe and beautiful views, this is it. The crew - Chloe, Micah, and new trainee Henry - were fantastic! They were knowledgeable, personable, and made the experience very enjoyable. I learned a lot of new information about the surrounding islands and the volcanoes. The boat was comfortable and never felt crowded. They accommodate a max of 25 guests, and we had 21 on our trip, which felt just right. There was a mix of families with children (including mine) and a few couples. Everyone was really nice and I had a great time chatting with the crew and the other guests. My kids, ages 10 and 12, absolutely loved lounging on the trampoline and watching the water as we sailed. The apps and drinks were good, but this is not a dinner cruise so plan your meal schedule accordingly. I highly recommend the Paragon sunset sail and will definitely book this trip again next time we are on Maui.

Despite a shaky start with booking, this sail was phenomenal. We didn't quite understand what we were getting into. Aparently when you say Paragon, fastest sailboat in Maui, you might know or will soon learn that this can be a wet ride. The crew was really caring for folks' needs though and my partner and I managed to only get a little damp. The crew was beautifully mindful about the way we approached Lahaina following the fire. It definitely seems that the company is looking to support the local region with respect and diligence in the recovery from such a catastrophe. Both our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and graceful on the subject. The wildlife was the most amazing experience we've had sailing and our captain and crew were full of knowledge to share. Perhaps we got lucky, but we saw dolphins and flying fish. These two clearly enjoy what they do and aspire to bring their guests into that joy. The trip ended at 7:00 but with a 7:11 sunset they asked if anyone minded if we stayed out just a little longer (of course we didn't!). Would absolutely recommend to a friend. Know that you're getting a bar but not a mai tai, and just apps to eat, but the crew definitely makes sure that you get enough! We can't rave enough about Oli and Chloe! Incredible experience in every way possible.
