Il vulcano Pacaya è uno dei vulcani più attivi del Guatemala, con un'altezza di circa 2.500 metri sul livello del mare. L'ambiente è costituito da foreste umide e rocce. Ha una vista mozzafiato sulla laguna di Calderas che visitiamo dalla sede dei nostri ATV e altri tre vulcani: Agua, Fuego e Acatenango. Nella nostra avventura unica porteremo gli ATV da San Vicente Pacaya a varie aree vicino e intorno al vulcano Pacaya. Andremo su vari sentieri verso alcuni dei villaggi situati alla base del vulcano, dove saremo in grado di salire sul fianco del vulcano in cima al flusso di lava pietrificata più in alto che puoi. Durante il tour potremo ammirare diversi punti di vista dei vulcani e guidare attraverso alcuni dei villaggi. Guideremo attraverso diversi percorsi fuoristrada e ci prenderemo anche del tempo per guidare sulla sabbia vulcanica e sui campi di lava all'interno di una piantagione privata. NON andiamo al parco nazionale San Vicente Pacaya.

Itinerario
Iniziamo e finiamo il tour presso il nostro ufficio di Antigua. 8.30 partiamo con il nostro trasporto al nostro ufficio di San Vicente. Il tour in ATV inizia presso il nostro a San Vicente intorno alle 10:00.
Vivi l'avventura su uno dei vulcani più attivi del Guatemala! Questo tour in ATV unico ti porta in giro per gli splendidi dintorni del vulcano Pacaya, attraverso sentieri, foreste lussureggianti e campi di lava pietrificati. Partiamo da San Vicente Pacaya ed esploriamo varie aree intorno al vulcano. Godetevi una vista mozzafiato sulla Laguna di Calderas. Pedalerai anche attraverso sentieri off-road e una piantagione privata con spettacolari paesaggi vulcanici. Importante: Non entriamo nel Parco Nazionale di San Vicente Pacaya. Include: trasporto, guida bilingue, ATV, biglietti d'ingresso e snack (acqua, Gatorade, cioccolato, biscotti, patatine fritte e un panino). Raccomandazione: Indossa scarpe chiuse per un'esperienza più confortevole.
Dopo il tour torniamo al nostro ufficio di San Vicente Pacaya e con i nostri mezzi di trasporto torniamo al nostro ufficio di Antigua. Qui finisce il tour. Tornare al nostro ufficio è normalmente di circa 1 ora, a seconda del traffico.

Spectacular! Beautiful views and excellent service. Fabricio is an excellent guide. I loved the group. The transfer was very good. Includes a backpack with lunch.

My husband and I loved the ATV tour and the guides! All the guides were very helpful, informative, and welcoming, especially Diego! We did the Pacaya ATV tour and it was great experience seeing the volcano, the lake, and eating on the volcano rocks. Would 100% recommend, it’s very safe and fun, we even decided to book another trip!
Incredible experience with our guide Diego. Perfect views and explanations, all in a fun atmosphere. You have to prepare for a long day, especially for those who are not used to off-road ATV driving. Perfect and unique day!
It was advebterous. More challenging than anticipayed so wiuld have been good to know that there ate many steep rocky paths to go over. Overall, good experience seeing yhe volcano.

Our ATV adventure of the volcano was amazing! The guides were great and very good at calming any nervousness about being a 1st time rider! The areas we went to were beautiful! We got to be out on the ATV’s almost all day. This was money well spent on making amazing memories with the family in Guatemala. This tour can be intense in certain areas of the ride but the guides are always available to help you through and keep you safe. Lunch was also included in our tour and that was a nice touch. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a fun adventure with some adrenaline in Guatemala.

My second tour with Simoon, and, man, what an adventure this one was. The off-road four wheeling was INTENSE but we had a great group and our guides were excellent. Probably one of the best adventures of my life tbh.
We loved experiencing the volcano. In particular, the lava field was fascinating. It felt like a uniquely Guatemalan experience, which is what we were looking for. The tour was really well organized, including excellent communication days before the outing and during our tour. We had 3 guides that were spread out amongst our group to assist with navigation and safety. Tips: - There is about a 1.5 hour drive through the mountains in a shuttle before and after the ATV part, so come prepared if you are prone to motion sickness. - Wear hiking boots. We did ok in sneakers, but hiking boots would have made for an easier experience. - For novice ATV drivers… the instructor provided good operating instructions and also provided advice on navigating some more challenging parts of the trail throughout the trek. It is the rainy season, so we could see where some parts of the trail were washed out, etc. If you’re uncomfortable, they do provide an option to back out of driving before leaving. Also, the ATVs can accommodate 2 people if you want to designate a driver and a rider.
