A Windsor ci aspettano 900 anni di storia reale. Ci godiamo un tour a piedi di questa bellissima città, dove vediamo quello che ora è il più grande castello ininterrottamente occupato al mondo. Visitiamo anche la storica Eton, sede della scuola privata più famosa della Gran Bretagna, dove hanno studiato 18 ex primi ministri britannici, leader mondiali e reali. Avrai molto tempo libero per acquistare i tuoi souvenir reali.
Continuiamo per Oxford, dove ci godiamo un tour guidato a piedi di una delle università più antiche e famose del mondo. Il nostro tour include lo Sheldonian Theatre, la Bodleian Library, il Bridge of Sighs, la Radcliffe Camera, il Christ Church "Harry Potter" College, il Balliol College, il Merton College e molto altro ancora. You walk around the outside of the castle and get free time; in Oxford you also see the outside of things. The Ashmolean Museum is free and worth it; Oxford interior tours all sold out before we got there. Windsor Castle tour longer than we had there. Good view from along river, but not as complete an experience as visiting Cambridge and Greenwich.
Our guide was very informative, however most of the day was spent on a bus. Only exterior views and information of the buildings were included resulting in a good bit of walking. I unfortunately overlooked the description of this tour that stated interiors were not included.
Another tour with the same fun guide Laura, it was nice to see difference with cambridge as both have famous old universitys. Oxford is so much bigger, the tour was longer and interesting. There is more to do in free time, I could not decide so I went to the market the guide showed us to go to for shopping and food, a cool place, and enjoyed walking by the university buildings after. Windsor is nice but I would have liked more time in oxford and want to go back for longer, I like it so much. We saw guards in windsor so I was lucky as the guide said it is not every day so find out before going . Thank you again Laura and for being kind with advise on places to visit.
