Do not book with them. Our event was canceled we didn't cancel it, and we never got our money back. They said we won't be charged before the event and we were charged and still 3 1/2 months no refund.
Not the best tirp. No whales a lot of waves. Kelly our captain said he would try and find us some to see, but didn’t. Saw a Hammerhead shark. He said he would put in for credit for the people who went out that day. Never received any. Kelly and mate were great but the trip probably should’ve been cancelled.
We did not see any whales, and only a pod of dolphins once. Capt. Kelly did offer another snorkeling tour free of charge, which we accepted the 8am spot, but then called to see if we could get a later time as we had to check out of our condo by 11am, and was told we were not scheduled, but instead showed we were refunded, and the other time we wanted was booked. So we decided to just accept the refund. However it has been a few days and no refund has been issued. It says 7-10 days to wait for refunds. So we are waiting. Our son flew over to Maui and seen whales from his condo often, so they had not left the area. Hoping to get this sorted out.
Unfortunately we didn't see any whales only a few spinner dolphins as the winds were too strong and the captain said it'd take too long to get out to whales. Had a better experience whale watching from Oahu.
Even with the bad weather, Jeremiah and Ula made sure to make the best of it. We did get to see five whales which was so cool. And towards the end of our tour, we spotted two more and instead of rushing us back to the harbor, they let us stay and watch them. Thus is the perfect lengrh of time for a tour like this.
Crew was very helpful and friendly. Very knowledgeable. They tried to find as many animals for us as they could. We saw a whale, spinner dolphins and bottlenose dolphins.
Everyone was great. The whales maintained a distance. We saw several from a distance and they did not come back up after we got closer. They did a great job of moving around to find the whales and even asked if we wanted to stay out longer to get some better views.
Dreamlike experiences with dolphins, rays and of course whales! There was also an opportunity to swim in the sea
We booked this excursion last minute, the night before. We had 14 people on our boat. I don't remember the crews names but they made us feel very comfortable on the boat. They gave clear instructions on what to do in case of an emergency, ie how to put on the life preservers and how to use the radio and call the coast guard. We saw at least 5-6 whales with one male whale slapping his tail in the water for over 4 minutes. He was definitely the highlight of the excursion. The tour lasted over 2 hours and we were satisfied with the tour! If we ever come back to the big island we will definitely book with this tour again!
Fellas made sure they had us in the right place at the right time. Saw seals, dolphin, humpback and lucky enough to swim with a whale shark. Out ton the water about 2.5 hours. Wonderful trip and highly recommend.
