The Santa Elena Night Hike was one of the most unique and exciting experiences of our trip. Exploring the cloud forest after dark was a completely different perspective—quiet, mysterious, and full of surprises. Our guide, Alex, was outstanding. He had an incredible ability to spot wildlife in the dark and was so knowledgeable about the ecosystem and the behaviors of nocturnal animals. We saw frogs, insects, sleeping birds, and even a kinkajou! Alex made the experience both educational and adventurous, with a great sense of humor and an obvious love for nature. If you’re in Monteverde, this night tour is a must-do!
Transportation showed up twenty minutes late. Guide was walking so quickly he lost three of us on the hike in the dark. Saw one snake, one toucan. Could not hear the guide. He would start talking before group was together. They are trying to be like Monteverde Cloud Forest night hike. No comparison.
Amazing!! Definitely recommend! Very knowledgeable and our guide was able to find the smallest of animals!
This tour was interesting and we saw a bunch of animals like snakes and frogs. Fun way to spend the evening. Our guide Pepo was fun and nice! We enjoyed it!
Interesting walk with numerous animal sightings. Darkness brings a different feel to the forest. This was a good experience.
It was a wonderful walk through the jungle seeing all sorts of insects and animals. I would do it again.
Dennis was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable on the trails and the wildlife within. He was even able to help us get better pictures of the wildlife. Overall was an excellent experience.
