Our guide Leo was an excellent English speaking guide, providing us with detailed background information on the red light district and walking us through part of it. He took us to eat and sample some of the local food items we hadn’t tried yet on our trip to Japan as well! A considerate guide and a fun companion to be around!
This was a great tour but definitely just for adults only. Seiya our guide was terrific lots of fun’s and very informative!
This experience was great! Seiya was very knowledgeable about Osaka and Japanese culture, we walked away learning a lot about the Red Light District, and the night life areas. Seiya ensured we were able to get the most out of these areas, and made us feel safe as he was able to prepare us for what we will be seeing and make sure we are respectful. The food tour he took us on was adventurous and delicious. We really appreciated having him as our tour guide, he truly made the experience great!
The tour was not only informative and fun, but tasty as well! Our tour guide, Leo, really made the tour. Honestly, he was a hoot!
We had the absolute pleasure of joining Rui's tour during our trip to Japan, and it was truly one of the highlights of our visit! We booked 7 trips during our stay in Japan, and Rui's tour was by far the best! He was not only incredibly knowledgeable about Osaka’s history, culture, and food, but also down-to-earth and genuinely passionate about sharing the city he loves. What made his tour stand out was how personal and unique it felt — instead of the usual tourist spots, he took us through local favorites and Osaka's Red Light District, which we never would have found on our own. Every stop had a story, and his insights made Osaka come alive in such an authentic way. Our tour ticket included the food and drinks, it was worth it! We had plenty of food and drinks and tried authentic dishes, all things I cannot pronounce but they were delicious! My husband is very picky and even he enjoyed all the bites! Rui does a great job of making reservations at the restaurants, so there was no wait--we were seated right away. We appreciated the size of the tour because it was only 8 of us, we all got along and that made it even more pleasant. It was also easy to travel together. Beyond being an amazing guide, he was also just a wonderful person to spend time with — friendly, funny, and easy to talk to. By the end of the tour, it truly felt like we were exploring the city with a friend. Ther tour was about 3 hours, but we wanted the experience to keep going because we were having such a blast! If you’re looking for a tour that goes beyond the typical itinerary and lets you experience the real Osaka, this is the one. We can’t recommend Rui enough!
A lot of factors here that went into this not being a great tour but I think spacing and time need to be adjusted the most. This could easily be under 2 hours and the food/ drink portion could be spaced out better. I had read such great reviews and maybe our guide was not the right fit for us either.
Experienced another side to Osaka that we would have missed without Haruki’s insightful, meaningful and dynamic guidance. His knowledge, candor and street smarts really brought out the hidden gems in Osaka’s legacy districts. It was very enlightening to tour through what I can only describe as Osaka’s Vegas. During this unique night tour, we felt safe, we were engaged and we were catered-to really well. The food joints were pretty cool and the meals quite tasty. Walking off the beaten path was fun, and getting to know a local was next level amazing! Haruki is a great conversationalist and his recommendations too knotch. This tour is highly recommended.
Informative and interesting! For mature audiences only! Good way to balance out other tours. I would do it again.
Incredible experience - all staff including tour guide went above and beyond to give us the best experience
This was a fun tour. It started with a tour of Osaka’s red light district which was led by a young and funny guy. He was knowledgeable and personable as well. He introduced to some great food that I never would have ordered for myself but ended up really enjoying it! Be prepared to go a little out of your comfort zone for a more authentic culinary experience! And expect to eat later in the tour. The red light district part lasted longer than expected, so I was borderline hangry by the time we got food - plan accordingly and you’ll have a great time!
