Itinerario

I had a fantastic time exploring Osaka with my guide, Eri. She was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. She was fun, engaging, enthusiastic, and clearly someone who genuinely loves what she does. What particularly impressed me was the depth of her knowledge. Eri moved to Japan only about four years ago and has a strong understanding of both Japanese and Osaka's history and culture. She is clearly passionate about the city and knows all those little details, stories, and quirks that make a private tour so much more interesting than simply walking from one famous attraction to another. Throughout the tour, we experienced remarkably different sides of Osaka, from its history and traditions to its food culture, markets, shopping districts, and wonderfully eccentric entertainment areas. We explored places including Osaka Castle, Shinsekai and Tsutenkaku, Kuromon Market, Dōtonbori, Shinsaibashi, and Amerikamura, to name a few. Eri was especially good at explaining the details I would otherwise have walked straight past : The story behind the moss-covered Mizukake Fudō, Osaka's distinctive food culture, the peculiar world of pachinko, and countless little bits of history and local culture along the way. It never felt like she was simply reciting a memorized script; she genuinely enjoys sharing Osaka with visitors. Eri was especially good at explaining things I would otherwise have walked straight past. She told me about the tradition behind the moss-covered Mizukake Fudō, Osaka's distinctive food culture, the peculiar world of pachinko, and countless pieces of local history. One of my favorites was the wonderfully bizarre story of the “Curse of the Colonel.” After the Hanshin Tigers won the Japan Series in 1985, celebrating fans threw a Colonel Sanders statue into the Dōtonbori Canal as a stand-in for American player Randy Bass. The Tigers then failed to win another Japan Series for 38 years, giving rise to the legend that they had been cursed by Colonel Sanders! It was exactly the sort of quirky local story that made exploring Dōtonbori with Eri so much more memorable. Another impressive thing about Eri is her language ability: she speaks English, Japanese, and Portuguese, as well as some Spanish. Communication throughout the tour was effortless, and spending the day with her was simply a lot of fun. Most importantly, this tour actually changed my impression of Osaka. I had already visited several cities in Japan on this trip, but by the end of the day, I found myself thinking that Osaka might just be my favorite city in Japan. It has history, incredible food, colorful neighborhoods, quirky local culture, and an energy and personality all its own, and I don't think I would have appreciated nearly as much of that without Eri showing me the city through her eyes.
Great tour! We were able to see several highlights and try some Osaka soul food. Rhat was fun, friendly, and very relatable. Would definitely recommend!
Enthousiastic guide with passion for the city!
We had an amazing tour of Osaka with Kiko! Our entire family really enjoyed the experience. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful throughout the entire dad. He took us to Namba temple and also showed us many interesting spots that were off the usual tourist path, which made the experience feel very special and unique. We were able to see a side of Osaka we never would have discovered on our own. One of the highlights of the day was visiting some of the coolest pinball machine places in Osaka. My daughter even got to try a pinball machine for the first time, and it was such a fun and memorable moment for her. I realized I had been missing out on experiences like this, and I’m so grateful we got to share it together thanks to Kiko. We really appreciated how smoothly he guided us and how much we were able to experience without ever feeling rushed. He also made everything easy, enjoyable, and memorable. Did a night tour with Rahat and he was excellent! So knowledgeable about Japanese history and made every stop way more interesting, you could tell he genuinely loves what he does. Perfect tour for someone like me only in Osaka a few days, gave me such a good feel for the city fast thanks to him. Loved the castle stop at the end too, quiet and peaceful, no crowds at all after the busy streets. Already want to come back to Osaka for more, and if you get the chance, ask for Rahat, he's fantastic!
Our guide Cassia was EXCELLENT!! She gave us the inside scoop of the area. Great value for the price. I recommend highly!
We just loved our tour! We were on our first day in Japan and Riri made us feel welcomed and confortable. She was attentive to our needs and made sure everyone of our group had a special moment. We learned a lot during that tour and we wish we’d took a longer one… We will definitly recommend to our friends coming to Osaka!
Lovely tour with very authentic vibe
We had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Eri. From the moment we met her, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming and made everyone feel comfortable. Eri was so knowledgeable about Osaka and shared not only the history and highlights of the city, but also her own experiences and the places she genuinely loves. It made the tour feel authentic rather than scripted. She was always happy to answer questions, gave us plenty of local recommendations, and made sure everyone in the group was looked after. She also had a great sense of humour and was an absolute laugh to spend the afternoon with. It honestly felt like exploring Osaka with a local friend rather than being on a tour. If you’re lucky enough to get Eri as your guide, you’re in for an amazing experience. Thank you for making our first visit to Osaka so memorable—we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended!
Eri is the best guide, so knowledgeable, showed us around all the hot spots, and had the best time!! I would highly recommend Eri anyday, best tour ever!
