Emma was fantastic. She is very kind and aware of guests' needs and preferences. Extremely accommodating. First rate guide. Pertaining to the morning tour- so others are aware- we made 8 stops. Some stops included more than one item so therefore 9+ tastings. Some tastings were drinks- coffee and wine. Tastings were fine. Some average but the cannolo was outstanding, one of best ever. Some tastings were small like nuts while others were full portions like pasta. Definitely a lot of food in total.
Very pleasant tour. Federico was knowledgeable and passionate. We got to see areas of Ortigia we wouldn’t have seen. Despite the heat we had a nice walk through the town.
Great tour. He did an amazing job telling the story of Ortigia. Well worth the money. He showed us so many things we would have never see. Thank you.
I love to dress a tour around my guests. Thanks for your visit in this beautiful land. Italo
Italo gave us a fascinating tour of Ortygia. He is an extremely friendly and knowledgeable guide - highly recommend!
I was really glad to have guided you touching the history!
Today we had a 3 hour tour of Ortigia with Italo. It was a fabulous tour and Italo was an excellent guide. He is very very knowledgeable of the area and it’s history. He was able to answer all questions we asked. He was on time and found us with ease at the designated location. I only wish we had booked him for more tours to other towns while we are here.
Many Thanks!
Italo is a terrific guide. We spent two days with him. He took us around Ortigia, focusing on Jewish history. We also went with him and a driver to Modica, Noto and Ispica. During both tours we saw and experienced things we would never have done on our own. Italo is expert in his field … informed, engaging, funny and a pleasure to learn from. He also knows the best places for granite, arancini and cannoli. Thank you Italo for two amazing days!
This was an excellent tour of Ortigia’s historic neighborhoods and architecture. In particular Italo helped bring the back lanes of Ortigia to life. We also discussed in depth certain sites like the Temple of Apollo and especially the cathedral. (Make sure to ask about St. Lucia’s eyes.) On our tour with a small number of people we were also able to take a mini-break with some delicious granita. Overall we really enjoyed it.
Italo is great, without ever being boring! Precise and punctual in his explanations, he manages, at the same time, to find the light and ironic side of things. Absolutely to recommend. In fact, next time, guide of the Archaeological Park!
Professionalism, competence and sympathy! An exceptional guide that led us to discover the wonders and history of the oldest part of Syracuse: Orgy! Highly recommended!
