Questo tour offre una prospettiva unica su ciò che accadde durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e la resistenza cecoslovacca. I punti sono accuratamente selezionati per mostrare una Praga molto diversa e reale con la sua periferia comunista. Le auto Trabant sono classici veicoli socialisti e sono solo poche le città in Europa che organizzano tour con questo tipo di veicoli. Questo è speciale perché collega la storia e il coraggio assoluto dei patrioti che resistettero sia al fascismo che al comunismo, ma anche traditi inaspettatamente dal più vicino. Il tour è privato e condotto da una guida turistica autorizzata ma anche da un patriota entusiasta e appassionato che valorizza la memoria degli eroi locali. I tour per 2-3 persone sono organizzati in Trabant 601, 1-3 persone in una nuova auto Skoda, 4 e più in minibus o autobus!

Sulla strada per la prima fermata sarà possibile vedere il Ponte Carlo dall'auto
Sarà possibile vedere anche il panorama del Castello di Praga dall'auto in direzione della 1a fermata
Un'entusiasta guida turistica di lingua inglese mostrerà ai clienti la Cattedrale di San Cirillo e Metodio, il punto in cui sono stati collocati i corpi per l'identificazione dopo la fine della battaglia, visiterà la cripta dove è una mostra di manufatti e foto e spiegherà tutto ciò che è successo qui il 18 giugno 1942.
La guida in lingua inglese porterà i clienti alla Cattedrale di San Cirillo e Metodio per mostrare ai clienti i punti interessanti, dove ha avuto luogo l'ultima battaglia e l'ingresso segreto nella cripta, nonché come l'esercito nazista è sceso al piano di sotto per criptare negli ultimi minuti. Di fronte all'ingresso principale c'è un tradizionale pub ceco chiamato "At the Paratroopers", dove ogni partecipante al tour riceverà uno shot tradizionale di liquore Becherovka.
I clienti saranno portati al cimitero di Dablice per visitare la fossa comune dei patrioti cecoslovacchi che furono assassinati dai nazisti.
Il poligono di tiro di Kobylisy è il luogo in cui molti patrioti cecoslovacchi della resistenza sono stati fucilati dai nazisti in questi giorni in memoria delle sue vittime. La guida turistica di lingua inglese racconterà storie davvero uniche e interessanti su altri para-gruppi e persone nella resistenza, su atti meno conosciuti ma comunque estremamente coraggiosi e sul loro impegno assoluto per resistere al regime nazista!
I clienti saranno portati vicino all'Operazione Anthropoid Memorial, dove l'assassinio di Heydrich ebbe luogo il 27 maggio 1942. La guida in lingua inglese non solo mostrerà ai clienti in giro e vecchie foto come appariva la famigerata curva di Heydrich in quel momento, ma ti porterà anche in un delizioso pub locale nascosto per una pinta di birra tradizionale ceca. Dopo essersi rinfrescati, i clienti saranno riportati al centro della città.
Sulla via del ritorno verso il centro città, i clienti passeranno dall'ospedale Bulovka a Praga 8, dove Heydrich fu portato subito dopo il tentativo di omicidio e dove morì anche lui il 4 giugno 1942.

We did the WWII Operation Anthropoid tour in Prague with Otto. He was absolutely outstanding — so passionate about the subject and able to keep it fascinating throughout, even in the cold weather. Otto brought history to life, showing us the exact places where key events happened and then sharing historic photos so we could truly imagine what it looked like under German occupation. The visit to the crypt, where the parachutists made their last stand and tried to dig their way to freedom, was incredibly moving. Also was the story of the lady who while interned at a concentration camp made sure the children had drawing materials and then stashed their drawings in a suitcase. You can see these drawings in Prague today. Otto’s storytelling was clear, detailed, and full of energy — my 16-year-old son was completely captivated, as were we all. Otto really made this tour what it was. Suggestion: With winter coming, it might be nice to begin the tour in a nearby coffee house — perhaps even charge a little more to include a drink — so Otto can give the initial 20 minutes of background somewhere warm before heading out. This tour delivered a LOT for the price.
I did two tours with Martina. Both were great. One was a full-day Operation Anthropoid tour that included a visit to Lidice where I saw the location of the destroyed former town and the nearby resurrected town built in 1949. I met a daughter of a woman who survived the massacre and deportation to a German work camp. I also saw relevant sites in Prague including the Cathedral Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius. An excellent tour with an excellent guide for this history buff. The second tour was a shorter tour - around 2-3 hours. We visited Vyšehrad and walked around the castle grounds and had a coffee at the end of our visit. It was like having a friend show me around the grounds. Martina was kind enough to drop me off at the Army Museum at the end of the tour. I was very pleased with my time spent with Martina, and it was well worth the cost. She is very personable and very interested in sharing the history of Prague, but also in sharing how people live in Prague, the Czech Republic, and neighboring Slovakia. An excellent guide!

Spending the day with Martina was like being shown around by an old friend. She is so lovely and very knowledgeable. We had an amazing day with good food thrown in. Martina told us so much history that we wouldn't have otherwise known. Highly recommend this tour as a must do when you visit Prague.

Again. Martina delivered a great tour. We opted for the Operation Anthropoid. I’d recommend watching the film if you decide to go. Anyway it was great way to spend several hours in Prague and learn about this incredible piece of history. I honestly had no idea of the incredible bravery that each and every one of these men carried out. Truly humbling.
