Driver and guide Remy Remy was excellent as both driver and guide Very knowledgeable on locations and battles. Very respectful of history, Remy often said Never Forget and it was obvious he said that from his heart. Sincere. I very much enjoyed the tour listening to and talking/discussing with Remy. It is very apparent that Remy cares about history of DDAY and the campaign and he wants to share/pass it on. Which he did exceptionally well. I appreciated even more what the men went through in the battles after listening to Remy. I came away with a greater perspective of the hell they endured. Thank you Remy. Money well spent. I just wish I had more time there.
It was a great trip! Our guide’s knowledge of all things European history was impressive. Our transportation was on time, private with only my family & it was air-conditioned! They provided us with cold drinks as well. I wish I could have spent more time in Normandy but only had time for the day trip!
Doru is an amazing wealth of historical knowledge. We learned so much not only about the events of the Allied Invasion on DDay but about French abs world history. He truly is a born teacher and great driver.
A long day, but worth it. Normandy is something every American should see and we want to go back to see more of Rouen.
We recently returned following a cruise of the British Isles. However, what stands out is the tour we took of Normandy with Doru before our cruise. He is extremely passionate about history and went out of his way to share his thoughts throughout the day. Not only did he show us around the beaches of Normandy and the American Cemetery (very moving, especially at the 75th anniversary), but he also took us to the City of Rouen and the Notre Dame Cathedral and then to see the place of Joan or Arc. This tour really is more of a private tour than anything (limit of 6 people in a very comfortable van). I can't recommend Doru and his tours any stronger. This is my first time ever reviewing a tour (and we travel frequently). Given that I am providing a review three weeks after the actual tour (following our cruise), would indicate how much we appreciate his services on that very special day.
Thank you very much for the review, I am very hapyy that you loved it.
