We’ve chartered many boats, but this was very disappointing. Terrible communication from the charter company; boat was filthy and in disarray, and not the one we reserved (requested AC for elderly guests). However, Captain Carlos was great!
Amazing Trip to Dry Tortugas! When we got to the dock on originally scheduled day the boat was inoperable. Scruffy the Capitan jumped into action to see if there was another option. They found another boat for the next day which is impressive since it was a heavy spring break week. Boat trip to park was amazing, as was the National Park. After the Park we snorkeled in a fairly secluded location- we were the only ones moored! Snorkeling was amazing- saw my first shark! Gregg our Capitan quickly diverted the boat on the way home to see a huge pod of dolphins! Great option when ferry is booked.

Amazing experience! Capt Patrick was awesome and helped make it an awesome day. We traveled with five adults and an infant. It was great to have the private space inside the cabin to let the baby nap on the way there. We had plenty of time to explore both Fort Jefferson and Loggerhead Key on our 8 hour trip. We were even lucky enough to see some dolphins on our way back!

We had a blast at Dry Tortugas! The ride to and from was smooth and Carlos was amazing! He was extremely helpful with information and history about Dry Tortugas as well as guiding us to food and restrooms etc. once we arrived. It was a very laid back experience and was amazing.

Our family had an amazing excursion to the Dry Tortugas with Captain Scruffy! SeaEO communicated well with us sending paperwork and updates frequently. A four hour trip with 11 family members ranging from young (4 you) to not so young (72 you). Everyone had a great time. Little fishing for the kids, sandbars and beaches for everyone. A great time was had by all. The boat itself was fine ( large with a cabin and head) but Captain Greg made the trip. I’ve been chartering boats in Key West for 20 years (from deep sea to family cruises) and Captain Greg was the best EVER!

Very enjoyable trip, it was a little cool and choppy but the captain did a great job keeping us out of the wind. We had a great time excellent sunset!

Exemplary customer service from beginning to end! JP was very informative and helpful to us in finding the best options for our group. My elderly mother was on board with us and they crew did a wonderful job in showing us the best of what Key West has to offer. Great fun at the sandbar, amazing sunset and the dolphin experience is one we will never forget. Very rough ride to the Tortugas!! Traveled at break-neck speeds of 35-42 miles per hour for the two hour trip each way. Got only 1hr 45min to explore the tortugas and swim. Captin Scruffy stressed us on timing the entire time saying he need to be back no later than 3pm for his next trip. Sent us the wrong directions on the island for the beach which wasted about 30min. Boat too small for 7ppl to enjoy. One of the engine stalled half way there. thought we would have 8hrs, we had less than 6hrs. Totally not the birthday experience I had planned for me and my friends. Very disappointing.
Hi Jennifer/Readers, We're genuinely sorry your Dry Tortugas trip wasn't the birthday experience you'd hoped for. As soon as you expressed such, I jumped on a phone call with you. We immediately took steps to address your concerns: • We carefully listened to your feedback about speed/comfort, the engine issue, and limited time on-island. • Explained the park’s two-hour shore limit and the necessity of maintaining cruising speeds during the 70-mile offshore journey. • Acknowledged that the captain’s tone might have come across as hurried and agreed to coach him on this aspect. • Discussed how there are 3 sections where all 7 people could sit on the boat comfortably, and unsure how one could come to conclusion that the "boat is too small" • Discussed how captain texted you at 641AM, waiting at the dock so you guys could start trip early. If scheduled time you had arrived, you would have had more than 8 hour trip. To demonstrate our commitment to fair outcomes, we reduced your fuel charge significantly (several hundred dollars) and provided an additional $200 credit for a future trip. At the end of our phone call, when we proposed this to rectify things, you confirmed such and replied "That's fair. I appreciate the gesture." Weeks later, your one-star review did not acknowledge the resolution or the credit you accepted. Following this, we reached out multiple times in an effort to better understand any remaining concerns you might have had, but we received no response. To readers viewing this, we wish to emphasize our commitment to accountability and immediate action when expectations aren't met—exactly as we demonstrated here. It is disappointing, however, when we extend considerable effort and compensation to address a client's requests, only to have subsequent communication attempts ignored and critical information omitted in their review. If any detail above is incorrect or needs further discussion, please reach out to me directly so I can promptly address your concerns. Almost a year later, we still are open to discussing. Beautiful 4 hour boat ride with Captain Scruffy. He customized our trip on a sunny but windy day to avoid some of the choppy waters. Great way to explore the keys.
