The felucca captain was really nice and well organised, and the journey, with just us 4 passengers, was delightful. If it were not for our experience with Canary Tours, I would give it 5 stars. Zero stars for them. The journey was advertised as 2 nights and 3 days Aswan to Luxor, with stops at Edfu and Kom Ombo and transport from the felucca to our hotel in Luxor. That was incorrect. The felucca captain told us we’d have to take a taxi to Luxor (a2.5 hour trip) from a drop off point en route. Not his fault - he didn’t realise how the trip had been advertised. And no time for Edfu on a 2 night trip. Secondly, we were told by Canary to board at KFC jetty in Aswan at 1pm. No boat there. By 3pm I’d rung and texted their office multiple times to get the name of the boat and find out where it was. No answer. Finally a helpful Egyptian guy (not connected to Canary) at the jetty found out that our felucca was several hundred meters away and we were able to board. We curtailed our trip early, at Kom Ombo, to at least get more time in Luxor. Canary seems to have good reviews, but they are misleading their customers with their advertising for this particular trip.

At the same time, I do want to clarify a few important points, as there seems to have been some misunderstanding regarding the itinerary. The trip is clearly described as 2 nights on a felucca between Aswan, Kom Ombo, and Edfu, followed on day 3 by visiting Kom Ombo and Edfu, then transferring onward to Luxor by road. Due to the nature of felucca sailing (which depends on wind conditions and river flow), it is not possible to reach Luxor directly by felucca within two nights, and this is why the final transfer by car is always part of the program. Regarding the boarding point, we’re very sorry for the confusion you experienced at the jetty. This is not the level of coordination we aim for, and we are reviewing internally to ensure clearer communication of the exact boat location and contact details moving forward. We also regret that you were unable to reach our team promptly at that moment — this is being taken seriously, as responsiveness is a key part of our service. That said, we do want to emphasize that the itinerary itself was followed as outlined, including the route and transfer arrangements. We never intend to mislead our guests, and we are always happy to clarify any details before or during the trip to avoid exactly this kind of situation. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we hope that despite the challenges, you still carried some good memories from your time on the Nile

The moment we stepped on board, we were greeted with warm smiles and a refreshing sea breeze that set the tone for an unforgettable day. I went paracaling, quad bicking, orange bay, dolphins house, and fishing they were all amazing and so fun and omar and aladin made me feel so safe they were all realy fun
