Great tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our guide was extremely familiar with the hidden jewels throughout NEWPORT apart from the Breakers and the mansions. He made everyone on the trip feel at home.
Tour was great and informative, Tom was nice and funny. The tour drove around for a half hour with a small break stop before dropping us off at the mansion. The drop-off time at the mansion was an hour and 15 minutes which was the perfect amount of time to see everything. After pickup it was another ~15 minutes of touring around making the way back to the transportation center so overall 3 hours in total and everything was right on time. The Breakers is amazing, the back terrace was under construction when we went and I'm sure that will be beautiful when it's done; interior was amazing. I wish we had access to the additional floors upstairs. The grounds were also amazing with a path, a fountain and a lot of really cool trees; there was a gate to cliff walk but it was locked.
This was a great overview of Newport. Larry our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job. It’s a very interesting town but as most might expect, very expensive. Two things that would help are: 1) indicate on ticket where to meet trolly, we finally found it in small print but not on ticket 2) options for parking , we spent $40 on garage and only did the tour nothing before or after!
Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and funny! Would highly recommend doing the tour with the Breakers option.
Great tour! Well worth it . You won’t be dissatisfied.
It would have been a great tour, but we had a really hard time hearing what our guide was saying. He was muffled, and did not seem to enunciate his words. We heard others on our tour say the same thing. So we did not get to hear much on the context from what we were seeing which was disappointing.
Best tour we’ve ever been on & we’re totally not “tour people”! Usually love to explore on our own, but this tour & the guide (Dominic) gave us a Newport experience that far exceeded our expectations & something we can’t stop talking about. Learned and saw so much.
We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the mansions in Newport and learning the history that is attached to therm.
Dominique was so awesome. He was professional, funny and knew his history. Loved the tour. Great way to see Newport.
