Budapest premia il mangiatore curioso. In questo tour a piedi per piccoli gruppi attraverso il centro della città, ti sposterai da una ventilata piazza sul lato del Danubio con vista sulle colline di Buda in strade strette, passaggi coperti e sale da pranzo a conduzione familiare che nutrono questa città da generazioni. Lungo la strada : assaggiate l'iconico cibo fritto di strada ungherese fresco di friggitrice, la salsiccia affumicata condita con paprika, il gulasch mestolato con orgoglio e un mosto d'uva frizzante che sa di raccolto ungherese in un bicchiere. Se ti unisci al mattino, il tour si conclude su Grand Andrássy Avenue prima di finire con uno strudel friabile e burroso. Gli ospiti del pomeriggio si addentrano ulteriormente nel cuore del quartiere ebraico e in uno dei passaggi del cortile più famosi di Budapest, per finire con un dessert ungherese creativo reinventato per la tavola moderna. Sette degustazioni, due quartieri e abbastanza storie da cambiare il modo di pensare al cibo dell'Europa orientale.

Itinerario
Il tour inizierà in una delle piazze più suggestive di Budapest, dove il fiume piega e la città si apre. Da questa piazza sul fiume, sede della chiesa più antica di Pest, potrete ammirare le ampie viste sul Danubio, i ponti e le verdi colline del lato Buda.
Un bancone che fa una cosa eccezionalmente bene: impasto fritto condito con panna acida, formaggio fuso e aglio. Assaggerete il cibo di strada preferito dell'Ungheria e sentirete perché è praticamente un'istituzione culturale.
Una delle strade più antiche di Pest, un tempo la passerella sociale del periodo d'oro di Budapest. Sentirai cosa significava fare la coda qui per un Big Mac durante la Guerra Fredda, e perché questa strada ha sempre attirato una folla.
Questo ristorante familiare di terza generazione, i cui fondatori hanno inventato il primo servizio di consegna di pranzi in Ungheria, è famoso per la loro salsiccia, il gulasch, l'almapaprika e un frizzante mosto d'uva Tokaj, oltre a una zuppa di frutta fredda che potrebbe farti cambiare idea sulla zuppa del tutto. Gli ospiti del pomeriggio ricevono anche una birra Soproni.
Un passaggio coperto di 200 metri che ha passato decenni nel dimenticatoio e ora brulica di bar, mercati e vita di strada. Passerai e sentirai com'era una volta.
Sistematevi in una moderna cucina ungherese che reinterpreta le ricette del XIX secolo con un tocco più leggero. Il paprikash di pollo arriva a cottura lenta con insalata di cetrioli, più un versamento di vino ungherese (olaszrizling, cuvée rosata o portugieser) o la birra artigianale della casa. Scoprirai perché gli ungheresi non hanno battuto gli occhiali per 150 anni.
Il tour si chiude con un aggiornamento giocoso su un classico del comfort ungherese: gnocchi di ricotta vegani per il tour del pomeriggio, o una degustazione di strudel dolce per il tour del mattino. Un degno finale nel cuore della città.

Rajmund was an amazing tour guide! Me and my best friend took the budapest tour and it was a fantastic time- just the two of us got to experience the best Hungarian food from goulash to fruit soup to delicious chicken pakrikash! Def need to try and def worth the money!
It was a lot of food, but it was really good. My favorite was the langos and the grape must. It was about 3 hours but the route was convenient and thought out. And the employees in the restaurants were very friendly.

Bogi lead a great tour. She is knowledgeable, sharing fun stories. The pacing was perfect, giving us enough time to savor each bite without feeling rushed. We left with full stomachs, new favorite dishes, and a much deeper appreciation for the local food culture. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone wanting an delicious introduction to the city.

My husband and I got super lucky and basically had a private tour - it was amazing! Bogi was very personable; while the food was delicious, it was her local knowledge and experiences that really marked our time. Bogi was a great guide who was knowledgeable and fun! It was great to stop at multiple places that you wouldn't normally find as a tourist and feel welcome. We saw a handful of local sights and got to learn a bit about Hungarian history. This was my second Eating Europe tour and it was equally as impressive. I will definitely do more in the future!
