Hans was fantastic with our teenage boys! He was specific and clear in his instruction and encouraging in his correction to help them be successful right out of the gate.
We had an absolutely amazing experience with Kona Town Surf! Our instructor, Zal, was incredibly patient, helpful, and had such a fun, positive personality. My 17-year-old daughter and I had the time of our lives. We had always dreamed of learning to surf while visiting Hawaii, and thanks to Zal, that dream became a reality. He made us feel comfortable, encouraged us every step of the way, and helped us successfully get up on the board. The entire experience was exciting, memorable, and so much fun from start to finish. If you’ve ever thought about trying surfing, do it! You will not regret it. Kona Town Surf made this one of the highlights of our trip, and it’s a memory my daughter and I will cherish forever. Mahalo, Zal, for an unforgettable adventure!
Beaches were closed due to storm. The guides homeless looking van was there, but he was a no show. No message to cancel either.
My boys had a blast surfing with Joe. It was their first time surfing and they loved it. Thanks for a great experience. 🏄♂️
We had a great time with Kona Town Surf Adventures! They were a pretty chill operation and had everything handled and ready to go. Easy to find and Milo gave great instructions. We did a semi-private lesson for 2 people which was a great option for more personal instruction and more waves to catch!
Our mistake was booking a 2pm surf lesson for two, only to find out later that there were no waves. Even though our instructor was aware that other schools had canceled their afternoon lessons due to the conditions, no one informed us before we booked. Our instructor did their best to make the lesson worthwhile, but unfortunately, there were no waves at all. They even mentioned that they would notify the next group about the conditions to give them the option to cancel, something we weren’t given. I’ve tried reaching out to the school for at least a partial refund, calling four times throughout the day and leaving a voicemail, but I haven’t received any response. I hope future customers are informed of the conditions beforehand so they have a chance to cancel and avoid the same disappointment we experienced.
We had an amazing snorkeling adventure with Kona Town Surf Adventures! The entire experience was well-organized and unforgettable. Special thanks to Nichole for her exceptional care and attention, making sure my kids had the experience of their lives. Highly recommend!
My grandchildren loved it, the staff were great and patient with them. They all stood up for a few waves! Got great pictures.
Our instructor was wonderful, he got us going on as many waves as possible and was very efficient with our time! He was very intelligent and a great teacher. Any questions we had he was able to answer.
Our surfing instructor, Hauns, was so patience with us. This was our first time to surf. I would recommend doing this while you’re in Hawaii.
