Museo Pergamon di Berlino: tour panoramico salta fila

Given that the Museum is closed currently, the antiquities displayed and the Panorama film are well done and only made me want to visit the Museum as soon as its renovation is completed. The Panorama film itself is a work of art. Sylvia was extremely knowledgeable of the Pergamon history and its renovation.

The Pergamonmuseum in Berlin, idyllically located in the museum district directly on the Spree, is one of the most impressive museums in Germany and even the world. The building already looks monumental from the outside — but what awaits you inside clearly exceeds expectations once again. Particularly fascinating are the enormous ancient buildings, which were built here faithfully to the original or reconstructed from original parts. In addition to numerous statues and sculptures from different eras, the monumental tower with a 360-degree experience stands out, which transports you into the middle of the ancient world. This immersive depiction impressively conveys how the buildings and cities must have once looked. The museum is world famous for its unique archaeological treasures from the Middle East and ancient times. These include monumental gates, processional streets and temple reconstructions, which can hardly be seen a second time in this form. You don’t just move from showcase to showcase, but actually through history on a 1:1 scale. The combination of original finds, ornate reliefs, impressive architecture and modern presentation makes the visit a real journey through time. It is particularly remarkable how vividly the life, religion and power of past high cultures are conveyed. There is also an entrance fee. Severely handicapped persons receive free admission to the museum upon presentation of appropriate proof. Credit card payment is also possible. The staff was very nice and friendly as well as helpful. The physical well-being is also taken care of in this museum. Our visit was absolutely worth it. The Pergamon Museum is no ordinary museum, but a place where history becomes monumental and tangible. If you are interested in antiquity, archaeology or great architecture, you should definitely not miss this place.

Panorama was very interesting on how it was created. I would recommend this tour. The guide was very informative showing us the university of Humboldt and 1933 nazi book burning memorial.

This was a surprisingly wonderful experience given the regular exhibits at the Pergamon museum were closed. The panorama gave us an up close look at life in ancient times. There’s so much detail and so much to look at. The best part is how the audioguide provided Context with how the Pergamon alter fit into the rest of the city. How it was used, and what would be happening during a Dionysian festival. That along with the reconstruction process showing us what they found and what they had to add in order for us to view the whole as it what have once been. I had no idea that these white sculptures could have been painted in full color at one time.
