The museum itself is well worth a visit but it is huge and our guide is what made the experience. Mohamed gomaa was a fantastic guide who made sure we saw the must sees and his knowledge of Egyptology and the history of Egypt meant we learnt a lot. He was funny, personalised our tour and allowed us time to explore key artefacts. Highly recommended
We had an excellent experience with Hazem. He was very patient, highly knowledgeable, and explained everything in a way that made the history come alive. We learned a lot throughout the tour. What stood out most was how attentive and caring he was toward my elderly parents, always making sure they were comfortable and never rushed. Thank you for such a thoughtful and professional experience. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a meaningful and well-guided visit.
Beautiful museum but a little expensive activity! We paid 130€ for 3 just for the transfer from the hotel + the guide then 25€/person for the entrance to the museum
And here we are at the stotic and immense Central and ancient Museum of Cairo. Impending historical relics create an atmosphere of yesteryear. Much lived, with display cases and sarcophagi and dusty trinkets. Visiting it is easy and pleasant. Some areas are undergoing renovation.
Cordiali saluti.
What a wonderful way to enjoy museum with my knowledgeable guide Tarek. He focused on the items that I was most interested in and I learned so many new facts and stories.
Not the best, at this price., If they include the entry to the Museum, it would still make sense, not otherwise
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We would like to kindly clarify that, as clearly stated in the tour description at the time of booking, the tour includes transportation and the service of a professional guide, while entrance fees to the museum are not included. This structure is explained in advance to ensure full transparency. We truly appreciate your comment and will take it into consideration
Mohamed Gomaa was quite pleasant to have as my private guide. I was fetched right on time and felt safe. He took Me to the most important areas to see which I thoroughly enjoyed. He definitely knew his stuff. I would highly recommend him again and when I come back I will be sure to ask for him.
We booked a half-day tour to the Egyptian Museum for our last day in Cairo. The museum exhibits were interesting, though it appears that many of the exhibits have been moved to the GEM (Giza) and the Museum of Egyptian Civilization (Cairo). Our guide was knowledgeable and easy to work with. We paid an additional fee to be driven to the Cairo airport upon leaving the museum. This being the first tour that we booked while in Egypt, we learned something that we would like to share with other travelers. Entrance tickets for all historical sites (Giza, Saqqara, Valley of the Kings, Abydos, Egyptian Museum, et al.) can only be purchased on-site with a credit card. The on-site ticket offices do not accept cash (no Egyptian pounds, no dollars, no euros, etc.).
Tarek was a wonderful guide. It was very helpful and well-versed on Egyptian culture and history. as an extra, we’ve even had an insightful discussion on classic movies and pyramids. He promised to get back to me after he watches 12 Monkeys.
Mo was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He explained things clearly and answered all of our questions. He clearly knows his stuff! We enjoyed our tour very much and learnt a lot. Thank you Mo!!
