Don’t book with Viator tours as we were not contacted to inform us that it was a Holy Day& the excursion we booked wasn’t open…
This was a terrible experience regarding gaining access. An email was sent to allow entry without going to the meeting point first. Which we did. We were sent on multiple directions for 45 minutes and nobody would allow us entry without first going to the meeting point. Why send an email saying we don’t need to go to the meeting point when we did? Even someone who worked for Viator said she didn’t know why that email was sent out. Incredibly frustrating experience and were almost denied entry because we were late due to running in circles. Horrible entry experience. Do not recommend. The experience itself was extremely crowded. It was like sardines. Almost seemed to be a liability when there are so many people you can’t even walk.

We are very sorry to inform you that we can not control the crowd in the vatican museums. Only the vatican city itself can do it. And it totally upto vatican , how many visitor they allow at each time. Again we are very for the inconvinience which happend by our resarvation system.
The lines to get in the Vatican museum are very long (4-5 hours)….plus plan 3-4 hours inside the museum. Definitely buy tickets in advance!!!! An amazing collection of over 20,000 pieces of art, paintings, statues, etc.

Definitely worth skipping the line! But getting ticket instructions was not accurate and we almost missed our window even though we arrived 15 minutes early.

Sorry for the problem you faced, as its mentioned in the product details ,you have to come at the meeting point 15min before(not to the vatican entry gate) . And there should be no way that you lose the entry if you go in time at the gate. becasue when we give you the ticket , from that time you have 15 more minutes to get in, And the meeting point is only 4 min away from the vatican entry gate. also with our tickets you just directly go to the guard to get in without waiting in line(even if there is a line).
