Incontrerai la tua guida fuori dai Musei Vaticani e bypassando le file con il tuo biglietto saltafila aumenterai il passaggio veloce al complesso della galleria. Si attraversano alcune mostre e sale dei centri storici; Galleria delle Carte geografiche, Galleria degli Arazzi ed inoltre accediamo al Cortile della Pigna. A quel punto ti fai strada verso la scioccante Cappella Sistina con i famigerati affreschi di Michelangelo; I giudizi finali e la creazione di Adamo. (Non è consentito parlare all'interno della chiesa, quindi la tua guida ti fornirà un'analisi completa prima della sezione).

Incontra la tua guida fuori dai Musei Vaticani e salta la fila mentre entri nei Musei Vaticani. Esplora le varie mostre e sale di lusso; la Galleria delle mappe; la Galleria degli arazzi e nel cortile della Pigna. Boss straordinari come Raffaello e Michelangelo hanno fatto gran parte della straordinaria arte per i papi nel periodo rinascimentale.
Mentre lasci le mostre, entri nella gloriosa Cappella Sistina con i famosi affreschi sul tetto di Michelangelo, Il giudizio universale e La creazione di Adamo, su uno dei divisori del santuario. (Non si può parlare all'interno della casa di preghiera, quindi la guida chiarirà tutto prima della sezione).
È poi il momento di un tour della Basilica di San Pietro dove esplorerai le numerose cappelle laterali con le loro cripte nascoste. Vedrai la Pietà di Michelangelo e la tua guida ti spiegherà perché questa è l’unica opera che ha firmato. Otterrete un apprezzamento della maestria che è andata nella creazione della pala del Bernini e imparerete come Michelangelo trionfò sui suoi contemporanei per l'onore di dipingere la magnifica cupola di San Pietro. C'è ancora molto da vedere anche se sotto il livello del suolo. La tua guida ti condurrà sottoterra alla cripta papale dove, nel corso dei secoli, sono stati sepolti molti dei Papi. Questo luogo speciale è meta di pellegrinaggio per molti cattolici. Anche se è permesso parlare, prima di entrare nella cripta la tua guida ti dirà dove sono sepolti i papi più importanti.
Il tour si concluderà in Piazza San Pietro, dove potrete ammirare le statue del Bernini e il famoso camino che annuncia l’elezione di un nuovo Papa. Our private tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica was an unforgettable experience and so much of that was thanks to our outstanding guide, Francesco. From the moment the tour began, Francesco's passion for history, art and the Vatican was evident. He brought centuries of history to life with fascinating stories and insights that made every room, sculpture, and masterpiece even more meaningful. His knowledge was exceptional, yet he explained everything in a way that was engaging, easy to understand, and enjoyable. Walking through the Vatican Museums was incredible but entering the Sistine Chapel and later St. Peter's Basilica with Francesco's explanations gave us a much deeper appreciation for their beauty, history and significance. He pointed out details we would have completely missed on our own and answered every question with enthusiasm and expertise. Francesco was also organized, personable and made sure our group was comfortable throughout the tour, making what could have been an overwhelming experience feel seamless and enjoyable. Our tour guide was amazing. He was so knowable about every aspect of the tour. He had a personality that was so nice. He never rushed us.
Our guide, Claudia, was fantastic. There is a lot of walking, but she was extremely knowledgeable and able to guide us through the museums, the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica so that everything made sense. She really knew what she was doing and could answer all of our questions. I would highly recommend her and Viator!

Our private tour guide, Paolo, was wonderful! She was easy to find, very communicative before our meeting time, knew so much about the Vatican and Sistine Chapel, and took us through a few short cuts to avoid crowds. Our only disappointment was the Basilica was closed and we were not notified ahead of time. This was not fault of our tour guide. She said it's jubilee year and the hours are different. We would have liked to have known this before the tour.
This tour was absolutely amazing. Francesco is so knowledgeable and taught us so much about the context and history of the paintings, architecture, and history of the Vatican. His knowledge truly elevated the tour and the hours flew by. I highly, highly recommend booking this tour with him. The city itself is astonishingly beautiful, but with Francesco there to guide us, it was more impactful and meaningful.
Fantastic tour! We got a great overview of the Vatican Museum and then quick access to the Basilica. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and she was able to connect the significance of the art with the historical events in a way that was really illuminating. We could've spent a week there but only having a few hours before we had to leave for our cruise, this was perfect.
The tour was excellent! Our guide Thomas provided an experience, that was organized, structured, engaging and full of history. 3 hours to tour the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter's with thousands of other tourists around you is a challenge that Thomas executed effortlessly for our benefit. This tour was simply fantastic! We could not have hoped for a better tour guide than Francesco! He was extremely knowledgeable about the Vatican! He was so very helpful explaining to us what we would be seeing before we went into the Sistine Chapel, helping us navigate the long lines outside and our way inside the Vatican.
